Psychotic Dictatorship

Sebastian strolled into the meeting room and sat in one of the armchairs. He had read the files if some of the people present, only the least classified or most publicly available. That had been some time ago and there were new faces, new files, new opportunities. He looked around the room and saw Jolivier Tash, CEO of Tash-Kishuzin Corporation. Mostly mental or intellectual powers. Or so said his file. Sebastian smiled briefly and said "Mr. Tash, Tash-Kishuzin Corporation." He adjusted his lower face mask and continued "An honour."

Jolevier Tash

"An honor to meet you as well, Digital Shadow." Jolevier replied.

The man was a mercenary and Jolevier had employed their kind before when he needed something done. Nothing evil, though the public would probably never approve of it. "Tell me, why do you even hire yourself out when you can infiltrate the banking system and give yourself the money you need? You're in this for the game I take it. I like that." He added.

Jolevier was smart. He could program, hack and move about cyberspace as well as anybody. But this, Digital Shadow, could interface without the need of a computer. No requirement of a medium, unlike himself. The only way Jolevier knew he could beat him in cyberspace was with preprogrammed routines which would make him have to anticipate this man's every move. That was his trump card. Thankfully the most confidential of TKC files were saved in highly complex ciphers he designed to which Jolevier deciphered in his mind when he needed to. Not that he ever did, being able to remember everything. Jolevier wondered how Digital would fare against his creation, IVAN. That would be a battle he would like to see.

"I get bored. I need constant distraction." electricity crackled up and down his arms, an old habit of he picked up on the streets. Sebastian knew that Jolevier was a billionaire genius, but he took solace in the fact that he could probably out hack him. Technology obeyed Sebastian in a way it didn't obey many others. He also took solace in the fact that TCK was a fun place to work; morally questionable and interesting work. Especially to people like him.

Jolevier just smiled at her again and looked away. Pacing back and forth, he had his hands in his pockets trying to figure out how to answer her question. Not that it was any big secret. Some people criticized Jolevier, saying that the use of his mental powers in the business world was unfair. With all the unprecedented gains in profits and advancement of technology TKC had accomplished, who could blame his competitors? But he took care to show his true humanitarian side, giving to charity, researching in the medical field, and supporting InterWORD.

"I...understand the world better than most I suppose." Jolevier replied vaguely. "Do you consider that special? My company is one of InterWORD's prime benefactors. You could also say I have a stake in their success for...personal reasons."

Camille scowled slightly. While what Jolevier had said was probably accurate, it reminded her of the time that she'd brushed Madeleine off by saying that she had realized that chemistry was relevant to her life. In other words, she doubted that that was the whole truth. She'd gotten some idea how her BFF must have felt all those years ago, and resolved to call her after the meeting and thank her for having stuck around. Being shut out for what seemed like no reason really hurt.

Pointedly ignoring Monsieur Tash, who'd started talking to someone else anyway, Camille turned to face Da'wane.

"The weather, it is good. It does sun today. I am Catalyseuse, and you, how do you you call yourself?"

Nichole entered the meeting with her standard clipboard. Looking around, she nodded to Mr. Tash, the only one she recognized. She sat in a corner area, back to the wall.

"The names Da'wane Collins. Nice to meet you Miss.Catalyseuse." Replied Da'wane now binding forward in his seat trying to get a better look at the woman speaking to him from behind the mask and the jump suit. The woman seemed nice but something made him think twice before attempting to shake hand with her. Every second he spent looking at the mask irritated him to the point were he wanted to take it off. Talking to a mask made him feel externally stupid, but he respected it at the same time most people with a ability want to play a superhero. That was the main reason for him joining interW.O.R.D to become a hero too. Looking extremely hard in the slits of the mask he re entered the conversation.

"So were are you from your accent tells me your not from around here. Also your voice is kind of sexy." Da'wane pulled off his black tented shades and placed them in is coat. And placing his hands on the cold blue metallic table.

"Well, er, thanks?" Camille felt rather uncomfortable. Little would surprise her at this point: she was after all at what was basically a meeting of superheroes, and her powers, while still quite effective, were not at full strength, which indicated the presence of some magic, probably not too far away. Being hit on, however, was quite odd, as usual, and frankly something of a shock.

She'd been hit on occasionally before, but never while wearing a mask. (In the interest of full disclosure, technically she had, two times, the first at a masquerade and the second while wearing a mask which filtered dangerous chemicals from the air during an experiment. It would be more accurate to say that, as Catalyseuse, she had not previously been hit on.)

She wasn't really comfortable returning any advances, but wasn't going to reject them either. In the worst scenario not involving having to deal with something ridiculously irritating such as sentient evil Jell-O (it could happen) or possibly world-ending in the middle of the conversation, she'd have a funny story for Madeleine, and, after substantial editing, Soraya. (In the actual worst-case scenario, she presumably wouldn't, as the universe would have ceased to exist.)

((in other words, this RP dying again. Post, everyone! Don't let the worst case scenario happen!))

"I am french."

Jolevier gave a nod to Nichole. A smart woman who would be a prime candidate to head up the TKC genetics R&D program. Perhaps after this he would try and poach her from whoever she worked for now.

"Any new breakthroughs in your field Ms. Roberts?" He asked casually. Jolevier was not the only one who innovated.

"Nothing substantiable. At the moment my team is still trying to find the chromosomal agent responsible for immunity to malaria. It has an obvious connection to sickle cell anemia, but their are those lacking such disorder who are also immune." As she ended her rehearsed and mostly true answer, she took a second look around. Seeing the going-ons between the french women and the masked man she rolled her eyes. Tis isn't a high school lunch table, she thought.

"Nice. So how is it like in France Catalyseuse compared to here in America I hear it's very nice. "Feeling a bit annoyed now nobody even to try to attempt to start the meeting. Everyone seemed to carry on their own conversation, it was not all bad he was getting to meet someone new. Slightly looking around he caught a look from Nichole it seemed like she was looking at him with pity. Da'wane reached into his dark black leather coat, and pulled out his black Samsung galaxy note three. Swiping the screen to unlock the phone he went through his contacts. Finally finding Nicholas number the only time he ever used the number was to ask about other powers that were out in the world. Hitting the envelope icon he sent a message to her.

Hay doc it me Da'wane I am be back after I finish up with the mask chick. I am go get something to eat want anything.

Looking up from his phone he asked Catalyseuse another question. "Are you hungry."

Camille briefly considered telling Da'wane about life in Savigny-sur-Orge, her current home, but refrained; the hamlet on the outskirts of Paris was low in population, meaning that she risked compromising her secret identity should she do so. She thought that Da'wane might be an interesting person to get to know better, but as things stood she didn't know him, period. Some risks she didn't mind taking; this risk she minded.

"The France, she is a beautiful country," was her vague, grammatically incorrect for English, and safe reply. "Yes, I have hunger- why ask you?"

Arkhaven

As the private jet landed on the air-field William awoke from his sleep and glanced around. "So we're already here"? His secretary gave a nod to the question before opening the door for him. Yawning he walked down the steps into the waiting limousine which he entered. He smiled to himself as he thought about how fast they had gotten from something as simple as the horse carriage to the modern automobile. But he didn't have anything against horse carriages. In fact the last time he had rode one was he visited the funeral of King Edward VII. He remembered how ironic he had found the grand military display at the funeral of the man known as the "Peacemaker". But that was in the past and nothing more.

The vehicle came to a halt in front of the Devaheight Building. Exiting he glanced at it. Muttering to himself "Nice and tall. But I must day I preferred the Palaces of Vienna and Paris". He entered the building where he was asked to give his ID. "Yes everything seems correct here. Sorry for the wait Mr. Validian. Please go on in". And with that he entered the waiting room.

"Well I ask because I am going out to get something to eat ,and being me I can't sit steal for for long periods of time. It makes me feel like I am wasting time that could be used for better things." Feeling his inside coat pocket buzz, he knew it was the alarm telling him his car was at the front of the building. Earlier before he walked into the building Da'wane requested that his black 1969 Doge charger was brought to the building. It took him years to save up to buy and find that car stocked, and now he's saving up to buy him a 1999 Nissan skyline GTR V-Spec merc only around 250 were ever made. Still looking at the masked girl he asked. "Do you wanna come it's ok of you don't. I mean me being a complete stranger and all asking a woman behind a mask if she wants to go pick up something to eat. Dam it just sounds bad coming from my mouth." Putting his hand over his face and shaking his head side to side he attempted to look pathetic with his dreadlocks hitting his face. After doing that a couple of times he ascended out of his seat and reposition his weapons looking over at Catalyseuse he asked "do you wanna come."

Commander Victoria Hanz cleared her throat irritatingly as she glanced at her wrist-watch with an impatient look.

"Of all the bloody faults she could have chosen....why must it be the one I hate the most?" muttered the Commander softly to herself.

As a strictly military educated woman, Victoria naturally hated sluggers and laggers and despite having developed a certain respect for the Secretary-General, she couldn't help but feel annoyed at how casually she took this meeting.........a meeting she herself had asked to be arranged for especially.

At that moment, the double doors opened and in sauntered Director Pentecost, still holding her novel in her two hands. Looking up at the guests with a grin she suddenly snapped it shut and tucked the said novel into the folds of her uniform before saying, "Apologies for the wait everybody.....but I do hope most of you have acquainted yourselves with each other during my absence."

Taking a seat next to her colleague, Kiera ignored the commander's scowling face and instead turned to Jolly and Validian and continued, " Good to see that you two could make the time to attend this extraordinary assembly of sorts. I wasn't so sure either of you would come, being very important & busy businessmen yourselves......so I'm naturally delighted."

Cylarn wrote:Elliot was unsure of whether Medea was just that stunning - or if something else was at play - that made his "Junior Officer" snap to attention as soon as she dropped her robe. Her body was absolutely stunning, and Elliot appreciated the sneak-peak.

When the door slammed shut, he immediately left the room and proceeded to make his way down to the garage, where he procured the Rolls-Royce Phantom II and promptly drove out onto the street, pushing over the speed limit as he sped to the airport. Again, he hated his job, because it didn't just encompass security duties. Medea also forced Elliot to work as her chauffeur, maid, bitch, and he was just hoping that he wouldn't end up as her gimp. He was thinking of turning in his resignation slip soon; she treated him like complete shit, and for someone that had spent a good portion of their life defending her right to be a bitch, he had almost had enough. It would take a miracle for him to change his mind.

He calculated the amount of time it would take her to show up at the airport, and knew that he had more than 10 minutes of time. He arrived there in 11 minutes, and paid a valet to allow him to keep his vehicle parked at the arrivals terminal entrance. After grabbing the sign that they usually used to get her attention with, he would head inside the terminal and stand by the "other" luxury valets, holding the sign as he looked for the bitch he was supposed to pick up.

A beautiful fair-skinned and beautiful woman swept the entire area with her mesmerising presence as she stepped out of the terminal accompanied by another equally gorgeous teenage girl. They saw the sign that Elliot held up for them and sashayed towards him calmly, whilst men from left to right made a full 180 degree turn just to stare at wiggling asses.

The taller and more mature looking woman held Elliot's gaze as she said with a sly grin and a heavy British accent, "Hello there.....YOU must be my daughter's bodyguard, Mr. Grave. I've heard so much about you from her."

As she ended her sentence, she lifted up her delicate hand, indicating for him to kiss it in the manner of an English gentleman. Beside her, the short-haired brunette tipped the dark sunglasses she was wearing down alittle to get a better look at their escort. "Gee Mama.....Medea forgot to mention how handsome he looks."

Lilith flicked her eyes from Elliot to her daughter and back again before saying apologetically, "Forgive me Mr. Grave but this is my youngest daughter, Avril. Medea probably thought that only I was coming to pay her a visit."

Avril giggled to herself as she licked her ruby red lips sensuously at Elliot and grinned naughtily.

"I'm sure she won't mind my coming Mama," she replied in a heavy Texan accent. "Afterall...its been a long time since we last saw each other."

'Apologies for the wait'... Cela veut dire que ce commence enfin? Camille sat up straight, and turned her attention to the woman who had spoken.

Does this mean that it [the meeting] is finally starting?

"Well now and here I was going to leave everyone to get something to eat. Seems like we're starting good." Da'wane said to himself pulling out his phone once more while taking his seat infront of mask lady. He messaged the person who brought his car to leave it there and bring him the keys. Looking over at the director he thought to him self asking why is she so strict bit is easily girly when it comes to romance. Even now being late was not like her something was going on and he was not about to let this go.

To be completely honest, Graves was rather turned on by the startling good looks that seemed to run in Medea's family. As they approached, the man kept a stone face, even as Lilith stuck her ring in his face, presumably for him to kiss it. She might be hot, but Graves was not the kind of man to swear loyalty to such a woman and kiss her ring. He raised an eyebrow at the woman, obviously not very enthusiastic about picking them up from the airport.

"Ma'am, I'm not a man-servant," he said as he picked up their luggage. "Let us proceed to the car, ladies."

He would then exit the building and make his way out to the car, placing down the luggage before opening up the trunk and placing the bags inside. Once that was taken care of, he would open up the back doors for the two women and then shut the doors, climbing into the driver's seat before starting up the vehicle and driving up onto the road. The bodyguard remained quiet and stoic as he drove them to the mansion, obviously not thrilled about the job.

Jolevier Tash

Smirking, Jolevier thought that to be indifferent to such an opportunity as this would be folly. "Nonsense Ms. Pentecost. A good businessman always makes time for his customers. Especially one of his favorites." He responded. Thought there were matters of great import that he could have been attending to right now. But TKC had too many contracts going with InterWORD to miss this.
