I'm still thinking about it some more. However, long story short, about his delusions:

Pitch grew up orphaned, and alone, unable to relate to anypony. So, in his delusions, he created his own 'friends' for him to talk and relate to. "Theft" (Pitch's kleptomania) was 'born' when Pitch began to steal for survival, "Murder" (Pitch's paranoia) was 'born' when Pitch killed somepony in self-defense, and "Bomber" (Pitch's pyromania) was 'born' when he accidentally set off some explosions. The three personas guided Pitch throughout his life, telling him how the world is out to get him, how there's so much to steal, and how ptetty explosions are.

My name is Herr Doktor Opium, and I was born in Fillydelphia in a hostpital of a very different sort. I'm pretty sure it was a sanitarium, but then again I was like, six minutes old, and frankly, I don't remember if I could even see. Needless to say, I never knew my mother, or father. One was a psych ward inmate, the other was her social worker. Pops was not interested in me one bit, so I was shipped off to a foster family in Canterlot as soon as I could trot! Fun, right? Surprisingly very much so. These Ponies absolutely hated me, which made it even more hilarious when I spit in my foster fathers coffee every morning. I did pretty okay in school, okay enough to get accepted into Canterlot University of Medicine where I got my doctoral in neurobiology... Then I got a big fancy job! I had it all! Bits, Mares, Stallions, a fancy house! Then I got a little too curious, and was sued for malpractice and jailed for murder and some other stuff relating to cadavers. Nasty stuff really, bleh, bleh... But I got out on a mix of good behavior and favors of the illicit sort. Don't you judge me! Prison is prison, and that means it's Celestia's blindspot! Anyways, I'm out now, which is always cool... But out of the job. Although I'm totally freelance now, and looking for willing test subjects if you're inclined!
