Everyone seems to think that the readers have read about the characters in the OOC. In the IC, no one else is telling the readers if they are playing ponies, unicorns, alicorns, etcetera.

Well, be fair - these are usually pretty easy things to suss out immediately. Horn on face? Unicorn. Wings? Pegasus. Both? Alicorn. Neither? Earth pony.

Perhaps, but why be a fantastic creature if you don't glory in it and tell everyone? "ho, hum, I'm a magic creature, nothing to see here, move along"?

He's a bit quick for a stallion on the run, in a town where everyone has been told to watch out for him, to make a mad dash to try to steal from the one place likely to be packed with armed ponies, some of whom may have been explicitly ordered to capture or kill him.
