Could we not directly copy off the Marvel universe and say Robert's shield is made out of Vibranium?

Can't we use a metal original to OM&T instead of from outside the mythos? This isn't a fanfic after all.

So think of a cool name for a near indestructible metal that isn't called Vibranium or Adamantium.

Vibranium only exists in the Marvel universe though, we need to give it a different name otherwise it will look too much like a fandom...surely you can come up with an original metal name.
