You know how awesome you would be to give the op of the original 2014 the United States would be right?

Official Name of Nation:United States of America
Population estimate:314,500,000
Head of State:President Barack Obama
Head of Government:Vice President Joe Biden
Capital City:Washington D.C

A brief rundown of the military
Army:546,047 Active personnel
559,244 Reserve and National Guard personnel
195,000 Marines active with 40,000 reserves
1,300,301 total
Air Force:332,854 active personnel
185,522 civilian personnel
71,400 reserve personnel
106,700 air guard personnel
Navy:323,951 active duty personnel
109,738 reserve personnel
283 ships
3,700+ aircraft
Anything else? (Nukes, Chemical Weapons, Missiles, anything that doesn't fit in the other ones)We have all of those in store.

Describe the Government system:The Government is a Presidential system, Federal republic, Constitutional republic, that is goverend by a Executive Branch which is the President and Vice President, the Legislative Branch with is Congress, comprised of two houses the Senate, and House of Representatives, and then the Judicial Branch which is the Supreme Court with 9 judges appointed by the President, confirmed by the Senate.
Describe the economy:The United States is a developed country and has the world's largest national economy, with an estimated GDP in 2013 of $16.7 trillion – 23% of global nominal GDP and 19% at purchasing-power parity. The economy is fueled by an abundance of natural resources and the world's highest worker productivity, with per capita GDP being the world's sixth-highest in 2010.While the U.S. economy is considered post-industrial, it continues to be one of the world's largest manufacturers. The U.S. has the highest mean and second-highest median household income in the OECD as well as the highest average wage, though it has the fourth most unequal income distribution among OECD nations with roughly 16% of the population living in poverty. The country accounts for 39% of global military spending, being the world's foremost economic and military power, a prominent political and cultural force, and a leader in scientific research and technological innovation.
Describe the state of Foreign Affairs:The United States has established foreign relations. It is a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, and New York City hosts the United Nations Headquarters. It is a member of the G8, G20, and Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. Almost all countries have embassies in Washington, D.C., and many have consulates around the country. Likewise, nearly all nations host American diplomatic missions. However, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Bhutan, and the Republic of China (Taiwan) do not have formal diplomatic relations with the United States (although the U.S. still supplies Taiwan with military equipment).

The United States has a "special relationship" with the United Kingdom and strong ties with Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, Israel, and several European countries such as France and Germany. It works closely with fellow NATO members on military and security issues and with its neighbors through the Organization of American States and free trade agreements such as the trilateral North American Free Trade Agreement with Canada and Mexico. In 2008, the United States spent a net $25.4 billion on official development assistance, the most in the world. As a share of America's large gross national income (GNI), however, the U.S. contribution of 0.18% ranked last among 22 donor states. By contrast, private overseas giving by Americans is relatively generous.

The U.S. exercises full international defense authority and responsibility for three sovereign nations through Compact of Free Association with Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and Palau, all of which are Pacific island nations which were part of the U.S.-administered Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands beginning after World War II, and gained independence in subsequent years.
Describe the state of the nation internally: (Just how it's doing in general, basically)The United States is still balancing a deficit left behind in the years from WW2 and smaller wars that the USA has been in. Lately, it his decreased from the Trillions to the Billions and is steadily going down. No other real major internal events, as most of everything is calm.
Any additional notes:If the USA is taken, I will switch to another country if needed. I also live in the United States and keep up with the current state of affairs, I know all this is a direct copy from Wikipedia, but i've researched the USA in depth since it was founded in the 18th century. So just because this was a copy, I know my stuff about the USA.

RP example:I ran the original 2014 RP and the Cold War RP, both of which you joined.

My App for all your enjoyment

Official Name of Nation: Republic of Singapore
Republik Singapura (Malay)
新加坡共和国 (Chinese)
சிங்கப்பூர் குடியரசு (Tamil)
Population estimate: 5.45 million
Head of State: Tony Tan Keng Yam
Head of Government: Lee Hsien Loong
Capital City: Singapore

A brief rundown of the military
Army: 72,000 active personnel, 300,000 reserve personnel
132 tanks
2,192 armored fighting vehicles
48 self-propelled guns
262 towed artillery pieces
18 rocket projectors
100 portable mortar systems
4,000 portable AT weapons
2,100 logistical vehicles
Air Force: 359 total aircraft, 86 helicopters
Navy: 6 frigates
6 corvettes
6 submarines
12 coastal craft
4 mine warfare ships
4 amphibious assault ships
Anything else? Conscription is possible for males above the age of 18, though there are several ways of legally deferring the draft. Several air squadrons are based in Australia due to land constraints in Singapore.

Describe the Government system: Singapore is a parliamentary republic with a Westminster system of unicameral parliamentary government representing constituencies. Its constitution establishes representative democracy as its political system. Singapore is consistently rated one of the least corrupt countries in the world by Transparency International. Executive power rests with the Cabinet of Singapore, led by the Prime Minister, and the President. The president is elected through popular vote, and has some veto powers for a few key decisions such as the use of the national reserves and the appointment of judges, but otherwise occupies a ceremonial post.

The Parliament serves as the legislative branch of government. Members of Parliament (MPs) consist of elected, non-constituency and nominated members. Elected MPs are voted into parliament on a "first-past-the-post" (plurality) basis and represent either single-member or group-representation constituencies.
Describe the economy:
Singapore has a highly developed market-based economy, based historically on extended entrepôt trade. Along with Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan, Singapore is one of the original Four Asian Tigers. The Singaporean economy is known as one of the freest, most innovative, most competitive, and most business-friendly. The 2011 Index of Economic Freedom ranks Singapore as the second freest economy in the world, behind Hong Kong. Singapore is the 14th largest exporter and the 15th largest importer in the world. The country has the highest trade-to-GDP ratio in the world at 407.9 percent, signifying the importance of trade to its economy. The country is currently the only Asian country to have AAA credit ratings from all three major credit rating agencies; Standard & Poor's, Moody's, and Fitch.

Singapore attracts a large amount of foreign direct investment as a result of its location, corruption-free environment, skilled workforce, low tax rates and advanced infrastructure. There are more than 7,000 multinational corporations from the United States, Japan, and Europe in Singapore. There are also 1,500 companies from China and 1,500 from India. Foreign firms are found in almost all sectors of the economy. Singapore is also the second largest foreign investor in India. Over ten free trade agreements have been signed with other countries and regions.

The Singaporean economy depends heavily on exports and refining imported goods, especially in manufacturing, which constituted 27.2% of GDP in 2010 and includes significant electronics, petroleum refining, chemicals, mechanical engineering and biomedical sciences sectors. In 2006 Singapore produced about 10% of the world's foundry wafer output. Despite its small size, Singapore has a diversified economy, a strategy that the government considers vital for growth and stability.

Tourism also forms a large part of the economy, and 10.2 million tourists visited the country in 2007. To attract more tourists, in 2005 the government legalized gambling and allowed two casino resorts (called Integrated Resorts) to be developed. Singapore is promoting itself as a medical tourism hub: about 200,000 foreigners seek medical care there each year, and Singapore medical services aim to serve one million foreign patients annually by 2012 and generate USD 3 billion in revenue.

Singapore is an education hub, and many foreign students study in Singapore. Singapore hosted over 80,000 international students in 2006. More than 5,000 Malaysian students cross the Johor–Singapore Causeway every morning with hopes of receiving a better education in Singapore. In 2009, 20% of all students in Singaporean universities were international students. The students were mainly from ASEAN, China and India.
Singapore is a world leader in several economic areas: The country is the world's fourth leading financial center,[86] the world's second-biggest casino gambling market, one of the world's top three oil-refining centers, the world's largest oil-rig producer, and a major ship-repairer.

The port is one of the five busiest ports in the world. The World Bank has named Singapore as the easiest place in the world to do business and ranks Singapore the world's top logistics hub. It is also the world's fourth largest foreign-exchange trading center after London, New York and Tokyo. Most work in Singapore is in the service sector, which employed 2,151,400 people out of 3,102,500 jobs in December 2010. The percentage of unemployed economically active people above age 15 is about 2%. Singapore does not have a minimum wage, believing that it would lower its competitiveness. It also has one of the highest income inequality levels among developed countries, coming in just behind Hong Kong and in front of the United States.

Describe the state of Foreign Affairs: Singapore's foreign policy is directed to maintaining a secure environment in Southeast Asia as well as the surrounding territories. An underlying principle is political and economic stability in the region. It has diplomatic relations with 175 other sovereign states.

As one of the five founding members of the ASEAN, the country is a strong supporter of the ASEAN Free Trade Area and the ASEAN Investment Area, because Singapore's economic growth is closely linked with the economic progress of the region as a whole. Other regional organisations are also important to Singapore, and it is the host of the APEC Secretariat. Singapore also maintains membership in other regional organisations, such as Asia–Europe Meeting, the Forum for East Asia-Latin American Cooperation, the Asian Network of Major Cities 21, and the East Asia Summit. It is also a member of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Commonwealth.

In general, bilateral relations with other ASEAN members are strong; however, disagreements have arisen, and relations with neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia have historically sometimes been very strained and difficult. Malaysia and Singapore have clashed over the delivery of fresh water to Singapore, access of the Singapore Armed Forces to Malaysian airspace, the sovereignty of Pedra Branca, and the relocation of Tanjong Pagar railway station, among others. Border issues exist with both Malaysia and Indonesia, and both have banned the sale of marine sand to Singapore over disputes about Singapore's land reclamation. Piracy in the Malacca Strait has been a cause of concern for all three countries. Close economic ties exist with Brunei, and the two share a pegged currency value.

The first diplomatic contact with China was made in the 1970s, with full diplomatic relations being established in the 1990s. Since then the two countries have enjoyed a strong relationship, being major players in strengthening the ASEAN–China relationship. Singapore and the United States share a long-standing and strong relationship, in particular in defense, the economy, health and education. The United States was Singapore's third largest trading partner in 2010, behind China (2nd) and Malaysia (1st). The two countries have a free-trade agreement, and Singapore views its relationship with the United States as an important counterbalance to China's influence. A Strategic Framework Agreement between the two signed in 2005 formalizes security and defense cooperation. Singapore has pushed regional counter-terrorism initiatives, with a strong resolve to deal with terrorists inside its borders.
Describe the state of the nation internally: Singapore enjoys relative friendliness with almost all nearby nations, and economically is going from strength to strength with one of the lowest unemployment rates in the world, in fact, Singapore has the highest amount of millionaires per capita in the world, one in six households. Singapore is a hugely diverse society with many different ethnicities making their homes in the city. It has in recent years become somewhat of a tax haven for the wealthy thanks to very low income taxes and exemption of taxation on profits made outside of Singapore. The military is arguably the most well equipped in south Asia, brought on by a social siege mentality which is most likely unfounded.

Singapore is plagued by the lowest fertility rate in the world, and as a result maintains it's population through immigration rather than local growth.
Any additional notes: Nope

RP example: Yah, like that's happening

Army: 365,000 (well trained and well equipped)

Air Force: 133,000 (well trained pilots and awesome planes)

Government type: democracy

Your population is almost 200 million too high, Barrack Obama's name is spelled wrong, Joe Biden is your head of government, there is very little description of your government or economy, and while your military isn't just numbers, I find it in want if you plan on being the US.

It's not looking too good I'm afraid.

It's Barack...
:p

Anyway.
Official Name of Nation: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK)
Population estimate: 64 million
Head of State: Elizabeth II (Alexandra Mary of House of Windsor)
Head of Government: David Cameron
Capital City: Londonopolisiumabadria

A brief rundown of the military
Army: Approximately 125k for both active and reserve. Highly trained, very well armed; among the best in the world (top 10 sort of ballpark).
Air Force: About 40k active personnel, and 30k reserves. Over 9000!!! 800 planes. Once again, among best in world.
Navy: Bro, the British navy. Really? :p About 40k active personnel as well as the same number of reserves, with about 250 vessels of all types. A damned good navy indeed.
Anything else? 3rd or 4th most nukes in the world. Over 200, I believe, are active. Also, lots of other stuff; one of the only nations on earth even close to drone research, as well as possessor of quite a lot of equipment for war.

Describe the Government system: THE stereotypical constitutional monarchy. They invented the term to fit us. A parliamentary system with a figurehead monarch. Very stable, democratic, pretty damn fair. Works well.
Describe the economy: A damned sight better than most :p but certainly has its problems; aging population, rapid immigration, annoying nuances with EU, low birthrates, as well as some problems with debt and whatnot. Overall, a tertiary and quaternary focused economy with considerable primary and secondary areas too, and undoubtedly first world consumers.
Describe the state of Foreign Affairs: We iz de luv everyone. Head of the Commonwealth, and great friends with most countries. Part of the EU (mostly), seen as a sort of second-fiddle cop to the USA in many ways, with many former colonies. Excellent relations with US, as well as most former Commonwealths, and the many countries it gives aid to. A big happy world family, with Britain the larger-than-life grandfather.
Describe the state of the nation internally: How it's doing? Like a boss. 8) here's a lot of dissent and dissatisfaction internally, especially about riots, immigration and that kidna stuff, but looking at the big picture, we got nothing to worry about.
Any additional notes: Yes. We're special. We demand to be treated as an empire. Also, coloneez.

Accepted, everyone welcome our British overlords.

Anyway, once we have Russia, China, and the Afghan reservation filled I'll make an IC and a UN thread. Map will come eventually. Feel free to apply as other nations though people, don't think I'm forcing you to be anyone.

Official Name of Nation: The Republic of Transnistria (as called in the UN), The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (official documents)
Population estimate: 509,439
Head of State: President Yevgeny Shevchuk
Head of Government: Prime Minister Tatiana Turanskaya
Capital City: Tiraspol

A brief rundown of the military
Army: The army of Transnistria contains 7,500 soldiers and are currently smaller than Moldova's military, however, they have support from Ukraine and Russia which would easily make their army larger than Moldova's if they ask for it of course. Transnistria has 18 tanks, 107 armoured carriers, 73 guns, 46 anti-aircraft installations, and 173 tank destroyer units.
Air Force: The air force is composed of 9 Mi-8T helicopters, 6 Mi-24 helicopters, 2 Mi-2 helicopters, and several airplanes of An-2, An-26 and Yak-18 models.
Navy: Transnistria has no navy since we have no borders with the Black Sea.
Anything else? (Nukes, Chemical Weapons, Missiles, anything that doesn't fit in the other ones) Transnistria owns tons of illegal Chemichal Weapons and missles that are usually trafficked by rebel groups and manufactured for rebel groups. They are usually unknown unless a media reporter does a documentary about it.

Describe the Government system: Despite it's communist symbols and such, Transnistria is not a Communist state, and acts as a Semi-presidential republic. Transnistria's government is pretty much like most other European democracies like Moldova's, Ukraine's, Serbia's, Bosnia and Herzegovinia's, etc.
Describe the economy: Transnistria's economy is mixed, and have alot of private industries in the country, and their economy is based on a mix of steel production, electricity production and manufacturing (textile production) which together account for about 80% of the total industrial output. However, Transnistria is noted to be doing much better than Moldova in terms of economics.
Describe the state of Foreign Affairs: Transnistria, due to being recognized only by three countries, has only relations with three other unrecognized countries of Abkhazia, Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and South Ossetia. However, Russia and Ukraine share close relations with Transnistria.
Describe the state of the nation internally: (Just how it's doing in general, basically) Transnistria is not recognized as it's own nation, rather being a territory of Moldova. Talks had been going around for Transnistria to become a nation, but all of them had been failing. Transnistria then decided to go to plan B, and begin to do some other plotting.
Any additional notes: I want to give Transnistria a chance to rise to the world stage. Get a chance to become independent :D I would also like to see if Hungary is willing to do some deals with Transnistria to split Moldova and support them invading Romania if a chance (unless Hungary and Romania become one nation.) Hehehe... so we can have fair game against a common enemy.

Anything else? (Nukes, Chemical Weapons, Missiles, anything that doesn't fit in the other ones)

Describe the Government system: Parliamentary Representative Constitutional Monarchy
Describe the economy: "The economy of Norway is a developed mixed economy with heavy state-ownership in strategic areas of the economy. Although sensitive to global business cycles, the economy of Norway has shown robust growth since the start of the industrial era. Shipping has long been a support of Norway's export sector, but much of Norway's economic growth has been fueled by an abundance of natural resources, including petroleum exploration and production, hydroelectric power, and fisheries. Agriculture and traditional heavy manufacturing have suffered relative decline compared to services and oil-related industries, and the public sector is among the largest in the world as a percentage of the overall gross domestic product. The country has a very high standard of living compared with other European countries, and a strongly integrated welfare system. Norway's modern manufacturing and welfare system rely on a financial reserve produced by exploitation of natural resources, particularly North Sea oil." -Wikipedia.
Describe the state of Foreign Affairs: Not involved in any active conflicts; maintains good relations with most sovereign states.
Describe the state of the nation internally: (Just how it's doing in general, basically) Norway has exited the Great Recession with an unemployment rate around 3% and the highest human development index in the world.
Any additional notes: None at this moment.

RP example: Prime Minister Solberg rose from his sleep around 5:30 am, local time. Not one to sleep for extended periods of time, she pursed her lips as he saw he'd woken up an hour later than normal. Her husband, Sindre, continued to sleep uninterrupted. The machinations of a state, as she well knew, did not sleep during the night. For another day in the most developed nation on Earth had come. And, on this January 15th, 2014, it was time for her to push her agenda before Parliament.
