You can still land there of course but will have to deal with those that were there before you (or just be wise and settle in a different part of S.Africa instead of declaring war).

Atlantic, west of the Gibraltar Straits
The expedition to the south had been the largest Expedition to leave German ports, as of now.
It was supposed to have more settler-soldiers than either of the earlier ones, traveling on more ships than either of the other ones.
Such was reasoned, that they would simply follow the coast of the African continent southwards from morocco, until they see it stopping to go southwards, where they hoped to settle.
Of the 30 ships, if all went well, 10 would stay with all their crew, both for defensive reasons and to be able to explore further, while the rest would return back home.

Where the bold has been added now, and refers to

it was even written in the IC what the fleet would do, and when it would do it.

This was a place where livestock could be raised. Massive communities of farmers and animal herders could live there, producing large amounts of food, leather and grain for the Spanish empire to use and trade. After a few days of mapping SE South Africa, they decided to start sailing back home...

The sailors, thirsty, hungry and smelly, walked out of their boat. They had discovered the cape peninsula, and once authorities had been alerted of their arrival the crew would be taken to Madrid to see the king.

A soldier who was guarding the street noticed them. "Who are you?", he asked the sailors ," you look like you've been at sea for months." "We have," said David Zubero ," and we need to be taken to Madrid to tell the king about our discovery."

Soon, after some explaination of who they were and what they were doing, they were in a horse-pulled cart heading towards Madrid...

The king was amazed. "We must send colonists there at once!", he said ," this opportunity cannot be missed!". David Zubero was so happy. They didn't expect the king to be this excited about it, and now that he was impressed a reward was certain.

"Julio", the king said to Julio, one of his assistants ," tell the head of the navy to organise a colonisation fleet with crops and livestock. We are going to colonise Cape Coast."

After excited talking and planning, the men walked out with heavy sacks of gold in their hands. They were rich, and soon South Africa would be Spain's.

And finally that one, with which my issue is: Wed Jan 22, 2014 6:26 am

Cape Peninsula, South Africa
The Spanish ships made landfall onto the rocky shores. The waves were fierce, but luckily the Spaniards managed to clamber onto the green pastures of South Africa with their livestock and belongings. Several frightened, half-starved cows were left to graze on the rich pasture and the colonists unloaded their supplies.

Seeds for crops and guns were plentiful, and there were sizeable amounts of clothing, farming equipment, fishing rods and tents as well. After the first day, many of the Spaniards sat around a campfire amongst a sea of freshly-prepared tents on the green grass. The stars shone above them and the moon cast massive shadows on the distant hills of this beautiful land.

An expedition starts roughly 14 OOC hours after mine [ICly it should be a bit less than the journey from the Cape to Spain + the duration of the RP posts there] , from a location more north than mine, and somehow comes past it and founds a colony.

Bullshit. The Southernmost point in Africa is near the town of Agulhas, not on the cape peninsula.

You can settle east of the cape, west of the cape, sure. But the cape is mine. EDIT: Technically, the settlement would be in the southern part of the cape, so theoretically you could settle its north. It just wouldn't end well,probably, for one of us which is not me /EDIT

1.The bits of blue near the settlement indicate the shoreline. The area is Spanish, not German.
