You poor devils. The population of Russia will probably die in my Indian war alone, due to disease, internal displacement, and whatnot.

Holy Crap!
Page 37!
WTF Have I missed?

EDIT:
I am slowly fighting my way through those 6 pages, but how the.....?

EDIT2:
Damnit, even the IC jumped forward massively.
With my moving ships obviously being ignored and triumphed over by a fleet that left later than them, from a starting point which is more far to the destination than them.

EDIT3:
Heck, it was even written in the IC what the fleet would do, and when it would do it.
And yet it was ignored.

EDIT4:
Ok, I finished reading all of the OOC.
Was there anything directed at me, or relevant to me? I don't remember.

Uhhhhhhhh, Spain, the Aztecs didn't believe the Spanish where wizards... They thought the Spaniards were gods! Specifically the god Quetzlcoutl. Especially since their mythos said he'd return from the East as an odd human (To the Aztecs, bearded men with 'Iron Skin' and 'lightening sticks' would be weird.

The Spaniards came at the wrong time though. I don't think either a gods or magicians claim will be believed.

They did think Hernan Courtez was a god, though, until he declared he owned the capital city.

Eh, debatable. Modern historians think it's far more likely that the Aztecs wanted to placate the Spaniards while they learned their weaknesses. The only records of Cortez being a god are from his own letters.

You there. Trade between us might be difficult, but would you be interested in some fine Chinese cannons and silk? I can produce them the artillery cheaper than the Europeans, though delivery could take a few months.

The expedition to the south had been the largest Expedition to leave German ports, as of now.
It was supposed to have more settler-soldiers than either of the earlier ones, traveling on more ships than either of the other ones.
Such was reasoned, that they would simply follow the coast of the African continent southwards from morocco, until they see it stopping to go southwards, where they hoped to settle.
Of the 30 ships, if all went well, 10 would stay with all their crew, both for defensive reasons and to be able to explore further, while the rest would return back home.

The posts I wrote this about are:
Tue Jan 21, 2014 12:51 pm (before my aforementioned post - fair I suppose)
Sebtopiaris wrote:Cape Peninsula, Southern Africa

This was a place where livestock could be raised. Massive communities of farmers and animal herders could live there, producing large amounts of food, leather and grain for the Spanish empire to use and trade. After a few days of mapping SE South Africa, they decided to start sailing back home...

Followed by: Wed Jan 22, 2014 4:35 am (after aforementioned post of mine - fair I suppose)
Sebtopiaris wrote:Cadiz, Spain
The sailors, thirsty, hungry and smelly, walked out of their boat. They had discovered the cape peninsula, and once authorities had been alerted of their arrival the crew would be taken to Madrid to see the king.

A soldier who was guarding the street noticed them. "Who are you?", he asked the sailors ," you look like you've been at sea for months." "We have," said David Zubero ," and we need to be taken to Madrid to tell the king about our discovery."

Soon, after some explaination of who they were and what they were doing, they were in a horse-pulled cart heading towards Madrid...

Next:Wed Jan 22, 2014 5:20 am (also after - fair I suppose)
Sebtopiaris wrote:Madrid, Spain
The king was amazed. "We must send colonists there at once!", he said ," this opportunity cannot be missed!". David Zubero was so happy. They didn't expect the king to be this excited about it, and now that he was impressed a reward was certain.

"Julio", the king said to Julio, one of his assistants ," tell the head of the navy to organise a colonisation fleet with crops and livestock. We are going to colonise Cape Coast."

After excited talking and planning, the men walked out with heavy sacks of gold in their hands. They were rich, and soon South Africa would be Spain's.

And finally that one, with which my issue is: Wed Jan 22, 2014 6:26 am
Sebtopiaris wrote:Cape Peninsula, South Africa
The Spanish ships made landfall onto the rocky shores. The waves were fierce, but luckily the Spaniards managed to clamber onto the green pastures of South Africa with their livestock and belongings. Several frightened, half-starved cows were left to graze on the rich pasture and the colonists unloaded their supplies.

Seeds for crops and guns were plentiful, and there were sizeable amounts of clothing, farming equipment, fishing rods and tents as well. After the first day, many of the Spaniards sat around a campfire amongst a sea of freshly-prepared tents on the green grass. The stars shone above them and the moon cast massive shadows on the distant hills of this beautiful land.

An expedition starts roughly 14 OOC hours after mine [ICly it should be a bit less than the journey from the Cape to Spain + the duration of the RP posts there] , from a location more north than mine, and somehow comes past it and founds a colony.

Alright G-Tech, word of a New Land and New Peoples further south should reach your Kingdom's ear now that King Governor Kukitu Chohk and Prince Tuki Chohk are exploring my Kingdom. Send an ambassador down, I'll gladly let you meet them. :D

Also, I own more of the Malaysian Paninsula (The North Eastern part), my Colony on Borneo And New Guinea are further South, and I have a colony on the Island that looks like a K. :D

Also, don't try to colonize any further south on the Philippines please :) I was suppose to own all of it, but I'll let your ownership of the Northern Island slide ;)

Also, them being busy with Hun bandits.... Can we decide that?
(Note that I doubt that either Hun or Hungarian bandits would be enough to keep the Serbians busy.....)

The sources I've found indicate 11 million as a total for West Africa, so maybe more like 6-7 would be more likely. I'm not sure how much of West Africa's total population Mali had at this point in time though.
