You have done the majority, and realistically, an alliance vs one nation usually ends in that one nation getting steam rolled, especially it's colonies in a land distant from where it's populations centres are.

But that still doesn't explain how the oil got from there to the ships considering he had no bases. You need fleet basing rights to do that, which you don't have.
