Your both somewhat right , EMP's are powered by a device that must be intact to detonate at the right place, too low an altitude and the effect is severely weakened. In addition any explosion would destroy the EMP before any of its contents are correctly distributed above the target area. It may effect some of the area to some degree, but wont have much effect

I was also in the imperialism 1900. I stopped playing that because they were very slow on recognizing new people. No offense to anyone

Well, Canada and I(Denmark) have helped Washington declare independence aggressively, I am supporting Maine, Brazil is supporting peaceful rebellions, Germany.. I have no idea, I'm pretty sure the UK has sided with America, I'm not sure though, chinas taking over Asia, Russia's going to attack Alaska.....

Well, speaking from Cal, Utah and Nevada only, because I gave up trying to follow the RP beyond the three:

-Nevada rebelled and has become a corporate dictatorship
-Utah rebelled and became a military Junta
-California Rebelled and became a democratic empire
-Nevada annexed anything half in its state (Hoover dam, Tahoe, etc.)
-Utah plans to move and annex New Mexico with Texas
-California plans to annex Arizona, and cede everything north of the bay to Nevada in exchange for military and economic assistance.

Washington's fairly quiet now but whenever you threaten countries with nukes, they usually get a little annoyed :p

(Oh yeah and I also own a tiny island in pacific with no population besides the military- baker island)

United States is fucked, Britain seems dead set on supporting them

Germany has launched an invasion of Britain, for supporting the Dictatorial America and other things

China is about to fuck everyone over

Russia is about to make its claim on Alaska, by force

Denmark has Baker Island

Germany and Italy have been booted from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, along with Canada

Canada is no longer part of the British Commonwealth

A few states have been granted the right to leave peacefully, others... not so much
