Whats with this directed-energy-EMP weapons?


The only reasonable way to enact EMP like actions on a wide scale is detonating a nuke in high-atmosphere, which although not technically against the rules (using the 'no populated centers' rule), but would knock power out to a whole continent and more, Furthermore, basically anything electric is going to die; planes,helicopters, cars, ships, trains, ect, is going to be fried instantly and require a massive overhaul to even remotely work.

I thought it was NNEMP with tiny range rather than EMP attack over UK C&C?

No. That is not how NNEMP work. In fact, I dont think it is possible with anything near modern technology to "give radio wave more energy" since the energy is result of frequency; so to convert radio to infrared you need to somehow give it precisely enough energy mid transmission that it will increase its wavelength. Even if that was somehow possible, that would only affect waves already in transmission so all it will do is give a "blip" in communications.

No. That is not how NNEMP work. In fact, I dont think it is possible with anything near modern technology to "give radio wave more energy" since the energy is result of frequency; so to convert radio to infrared you need to somehow give it precisely enough energy mid transmission that it will increase its wavelength. Even if that was somehow possible, that would only affect waves already in transmission so all it will do is give a "blip" in communications.

Also, as you are only blocking radiowaves, the Royal Navy would still be able to communicate via sattelite, so your not achieving much; And Radar would not work for either side.

I still and holding my opinion that the NNEMP is void.

It said the plane was to go into London, but if it got shot down the EMPS would go off, making it impossible to counter.
Then, I said I would invade with COMMS destroyed. It had lots of countermeasures.

Then they fired 5 missiles that don't care about counter measures, and it blows up over the part of the English channel I am going towards.

The Royal Navy can't call for help, and Suddenly the New German Navy is upon them. Pretty simple
