1500:The Renaissance [Medieval RP, OOC]
Welcome to Rome, or as the Natives call it Roma. The year is 1500, it is May, the slight breeze is crisp and refreshing; and certainly does not deter the many people up and about. Tending to their daily business. The market place is bustling with activity and goods from all over the world and sold here. Hundreds if not thousands of goods will change hands; silks from the Orient, carpets from Persia, spices from India, precious medals from all over the world. Roman Catholic Priests preach their religion from the street corners. At this time Rome is the cultural, political and economical ruler of Europe. The Pope who heads the Roman Catholic Church resides here and exercises the power of the papacy from his palace in the center of Rome. The renaissance is under way beautiful art and architecture is seen everywhere. Whether a native of Rome or a foreigner you are amazed. And soon you find yourself entwined in the life of Rome, but all is not rainbows for corruption and betrayal lie at the heart of Rome. This is the renaissance and you are now a member of it.
Generalization-
As the above paragraph details this RP will be selected from the Character Variety and set in Rome in 1500 CE, at the pinnacle of the ecclesiastical, cultural, economic and politic influence of the city. You are a citizen of Rome, whom and what career you undertake is entirely up to you, as long as it fits into sixteenth century guidelines. I will not create a character but I will play as Pope Alexander VI therefor making me OOC leader and IC leader (oh no!). I have no problem with OOC made frienships so go right ahead! I would like to ask you to do a little research before applying on what you intent to do, and what to expect from your type of character.
Characters-
Okay. For characters I honestly don't care who you are, what age you are or your job provided you use the provided template to apply. Another thing that should be stressed, jobs MUST have been practiced during the sixteenth century. Yes that means no astronauts (sorry). You can play as a non-native character (a Persian merchant for instance) as long as you stay in Rome for the duration of the RP (random interjection). I would prefer if your characters are no younger than 10 and no older than 75 (actually I do not prefer I demand).
