The Robin's Nest (Money Burning Simulator - Interest - OOC)

Postby The Treorai » Thu Jan 02, 2014 5:49 pm

Welcome to Santiago, California. Located on the Pacific coast south of Los Angles, here you will find serene blue coasts, warm sands, and green rolling hills. The city economy is booming with the recent rush of ever expanding condominiums and corporate moguls looking for beach side property. However, just within those green hills lives the most animated cast that you could ever regret meeting.

You see, in those hills there is a place they call "The Robin's Nest Country Club". At first glance it might seem fairly typical of the area; a suburban abode of the snobby upper class. However, upon further inspection you may notice a far more interesting trend. The members of the Robin's Nest Country Club are not just retired middle aged codgers in sweater vests playing golf. Oh no. These are retired middle aged criminal codgers in sweater vests playing golf.

And that is the basis for this RP. In a fictional Californian coast city, we have a group of retired criminals living out their days with the fortunes they earned in their days of crime.

Whether they were bank robbers, con men, dirty stock brokers, or crooked CEO's, each of your characters must share one thing in common; The wealth they are now living off of was obtained illegally. Now as opposed to hitting bank jobs they are putting on the green.

So if your interested, Speak Up! You may not know me around here, but I used to do this kind of stuff all the time, and I always welcome input from anyone willing to put in the time to play a role.

Can I buy a tank? Because part of being a criminal mastermind who gets away scot-free is going a little loose with the money.

I mean, you could own a tank. I don't think you really get away with driving one around though.

I'm sorry, who managed to attain early retirement despite the dishonest work that certainly came under scrutiny?

Huzzah!

APP
Name: Desmond Ivanishvili

Age: 61

Appearance: Desmond is a man of medium height. His hair isn't quite white yet, though it has certainly become a very pale grey, and he usually combs it back in a slick 'blown-back' style. Desmond is not a very muscular man, though he is not a very fat man either, he sit's somewhere in between. Normally he is seen in a loose black turtleneck and grey double brested jacket with black dress slacks and dress shoes.

Crime: Slave and Drug Trafficking

Bio: Desmond was born in Tbilisi, Georgia the son of two mildly succesful Communist Party members. He grew up in and out of Communist Youth Groups and the ideology was firmly implanted into his brain until he neared adulthood. At the age of seventeen, Desmond began to disregard Communsm when he saw the wealth Capitalism could bring. Although, in the Soviet Union, there wasn't much of that, was there?

His faith in Communism steadily deteriorated until he was twenty three, at this point he took up what would become a life of crime. Desmond began with smuggling a variety of narcotics from the Caucasus into Azerbaijan. This dreary and dangerous work continued until Desmond was thirty years old, then he broadened his horizons.

Desmond's employers had received a ludicrous opportunity, to expand into Mexico. and they wanted the loyal Desmond to spearhead the expansion. Desmond gladly accepted and soon found himself in sunny Mexico, overseeing a massive drug operation that speedily branched into other criminal activies including embezzlement and slave trafficking.

He lived this way happily and steadily rose in the ranks, eventually hitting the top when he was fifty six. Although by now, Desmond had had enough. He spent the next four years looking for a way out. On his sixtieth birthday, Desmomd left Mexico for California with his fortune, where he know lives quite happily.

Other Shit You Find Important: Desmond has a facial neuralgia and takes trycyclic antidepressants and anti-convulsants.
