SKILLSET: There are few to match the skill of Gethor in the use of heavy weapons and gear. His strength is renowned, and he is said to be the strongest man in Dunland. When his blood is up, his berserker rage can be stopped by nothing in Middle-Earth.
APPEARANCE: http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/2066/mqo6.png
EQUIPMENT: -A dangerous-looking greatsword.
-A Fell Pony as his mount. Don't be fooled by the name- Fell Ponies are very large, and have hearts as strong as horses.
-A wooden roundshield, the mainstay of the Dunlending warriors across the ages.
-A simple pack, and the type of kit a rugged, barbaric traveller would carry.
BIO: Son of the great warlord Gorman, Gethor is a proud and savage Wildman as his ancestors were. He detests what he perceives to be a growing weakness and idleness in his people. Even when Rohan is engaged in battle with Rhun, the men of Dunland refuse to raid the country of the accursed Straw-hairs and burn their villages. Gethor has all the bloodlust of his predecessors, but just as the world has become more technologically advanced over time, so too have the ways of Dunland's warriors. They no longer forego metal armor and weapons, instead embracing the iron and steel gear forged by Gondor and Khazad-Dum. Dunland is still a subsistence farming society, however, living in the most squalid conditions, scratching out a living from the meager mountain earth, just as it was in the Third Age and all times after the Numenorians drove them to the mountains.
Gethor himself has been savage and warlike for as long as he can remember. Even in the days of his youth he reveled in the tales of great exploits that warriors, hunters, and mercenaries brought back from far-off lands. When he came of age, he joined the ranks of the far-ranging wanderers, fighting to earn his place in the world. His travels took him across Middle-Earth, from the West to the base of the Lonely Mountain. Gethor wears a bearskin that he obtained himself in the frigid north. He returned to Dunland only once: when, five years into his journeys, the news of his father's murder reached him. The usurper was none other than his own half-brother, Ghun the Proper, who was of partial Rohirrim stock. Ghun took the chiefdom and set about "civilizing" the Dunlending, with the ultimate goal of making them servile to Rohan. Gethor travelled to Dunland to challenge him, but was barred from entering the region by Ghun's followers. So it has been for a time- the Exile can't return to his homeland. But perhaps a quest that would make Gethor the champion of Dunland might enable him at at last challenge Ghun the Proper.
Gethor's name in Dunlendish means "dark-hair", with "Geth" being "dark" and "(f)or" being hair.
Accepted. Also, I'm surprised that most everyone has made traditional warrior characters, and haven't utilized guns.

Expand on your bio, please. It's really lacking. Also, you have a lot of spelling and grammar mistakes in there, try to fix them.

SKILLSET: Margöz is one of the greatest duelists that has ever came out of the lands near Umbar. Skilled with both fire and blade, he wields both to great effect. He's an excellent dual-wielder of shortswords and has skill with the longer muskets of the time, being quite a crackshot. He's extremely athletic and is known for his lithe movements on the Black Ships that he once sailed, a skill which he translated into a primitive form of free running. Aside from his combat abilities, he has a rudimentary knowledge of poisons, is excellent in math, has a knack for bartering (despite his ghastly appearance) and is a famed tactician. He knows how to cook well and can tie many different types of knots. He is also very knowledgable about the plants that grow near bodies of water, and their uses.

He also has 4 throwing knives, and a pack in which he carries a length of rope, provisions, a whetstone, and flint and box of tender, pouches of gunpowder and extra balls for his pistols, and a pouch with a sizable sum of gold pieces in it. I see you've gone to see 47 Ronin.
Such a kickass film.

The ending where they all commit seppuku? You mean the actual way the story ends? Also: there's a looooong history of embellishment of the story. It's an epic. Just like the Illiad or the Odyssey, it's different every time it's told. The point of the story is to provide an example of honor, loyalty, and courage in the face of impossible odds. That's what it's always been. And the American movie does this very well.

Hm, maybe so. I went into it thinking it was something different, though, and was disappointed.
