I think I know what a god-mod is in the context now. Also said earlier, I have to leave soon so if I decide to continue with a war I will organize forces around the fort tomorrow, and let him respond.
I don't mind rping about a war aslong as its interesting and fun so if you need to work anything out or have any questions feel free send me a telegram.

In all seriousness, though; it's an Orthodox State with an Empress who has some interesting views on the matter, and a fascination with the ancient Hellas (Greek Polytheism)

I named the 'major' ones. But the Emperor, not being baptized, and not caring, has laws making religious intolerance illegal. With the penalties being pretty brutal, so you don't see much religious conflict.

Ok. Just sounds odd that a middle eastern nation might have more catholics than, say, Buddhists or Hindus.

Well; good luck with that, you won't have an easy time of it, especially since we have a General of ever-improving skill, an army with some decent combat experience to compensate for their lack of significant modern weaponry, and an Empress with enough influence and charisma to push the boundaries of the Empire far enough to serve her goals of Modernizing the Empire into an effective power in the East Mediterranean and beyond.
Should be fun dealing with your challenge to my Empire's sense of authority and supremacy.

Yeah....let's not also forget that i'm bigger than you...bigger army, with more advanced weapons. I'll concede that there will be plenty of blood, but this is stacked pretty decently against you. Unless you get an ally, of course.

I was originally thinking an Achaemenid-style Persia, y'know, with Anatolia and whatnot, but I don't know exactly how much territory I can claim, or how technologically behind they'd be. So that would bring me to odd European dual monarchies, upon which I'm debating Anglo-Portugal, Anglo-Netherlands, or an Italic union, claiming Umbria/Sardinia/Piedmont/Sicily.
Another thought just popped into my head. The Constantinople Commune.

Then the map needs to be updated, badly. Please elaborate as to what you mean - "all" - Literally everything that I mentioned? Because that sounds incorrect, even if the map is outdated, because I see only one reservation that would impede with those claims.

All taken other than Portugal. The biggest tracts of land are on Africa and Australia. You could do the Portuguese, something with more advanced aborigines, Or an African state of some sort. Keep in mind the powerful Oda Shogunate is eyeing Australia with intent to invade, and Babylonia would have part of Egypt if accepted.
