We speak a lot of non-humans in human majority countries, but here's my question: are demons the only non-humans worth noting?

They're the most notable visible minority, most numerous and also have had a huge worlds changing war with Earth just a decade ago, which is why they get the most mention.

There are definitely other species on Earth. Many blend in fairly well, trying not to draw attention to themselves. Most non-humans aren't seen too well, though some humans are sympathetic if they look human-like.

Why would demons even move there?

I think that I mentioned the Palestine and Israel conflict had largely died down since there ended up being much more pressing issues.

For that matter, I don't get why Africans even move to Switzerland.

Better job opportunities from their war ravaged home countries. And I'll rephrase my question, since it came off differently from my intention.

Israel bulldozes Arab houses in Palestinian areas, not so much Nazareth or other cities within main Israel. I don't think Israel would bulldoze houses of demon immigrants, since they likely won't be so much in number or percentage, and have their own areas.

DH is supposed to be a somewhat opposite version of EH. In EH the UK seems to have lost most of its influence, prestige and economy as practically every other country goes through huge economic booms, scientific advancements and cultural renaissances, so it would make sense that DH's UK gets along great with the demons while smacking down the other nations of Earth.

Simply put, it's a connection between predators and prey. When I was in school, we'd have bubbles. In these bubbles we'd write the name of an animal, and then we'd have lines connecting it to other bubbles. On top of the lines we'd write what the connection between these animals was.

So it'd be like this for characters in EH. Not predators and prey, but connections.

There are living mushrooms dispersed throughout the school. Or people assume they're mushrooms.

In reality, it's one gigantic mushroom, its tendrils all over the school, the spores controlling the weather and our mind.
