You guys should be glad of the fact that the only Medieval Italian poet you will ever study will probably be Dante.

I'm currently studying Petrarch, and he's pretty much a mentally ill individual.

Well, his full name is actually Francis Petrarch. Which is much less cool than the title of his father, who instead was Ser Petrarch.
