We can officially add Charles Dance to the list of British actors I hold an unhealthy interest in.

Swith: It's because you're so awesome. God himself refreshes the screen before he types just to see if Nightkill has written anything while he was off somewhere else.

I love how the character I made Charles Dance (Richard) is actually God.

Which is strangely appropriate.

I wanted to try my hand at one of these bestiary thingies so here we go. I'll probably make some more of these.

Helicorn (AKA Wild Horse FROM HELL!)

From Infernopedia, the nightmare encyclopedia.
------For other uses see Helicorn (Disambiguation)

The Helicorn (Equus Ferus Infernalis) is an extant subspecies of equines distantly related to Earth's Equus Ferus. They, like their Earth counterparts, are odd-toed ungulate mammals, sometimes used as a means of transport.

The similarities, for the most part, end right there.

Helicorn hooves, unlike those of the wusses that are their distant cousins, are hard as rock, though they do grow continuously, like that of a regular horse. The end result? When Helicorns feel like their hooves are large enough, they go right ahead and start smashing them against whatever the hell they find that seems sturdy enough to wear them out. On an entirely unrelated note, rock formations are increasingly rare on the few places that Helicorns inhabit, and if there are any other animals on the local ecosystem, they are predominantly squishy. But anyways, yeah, their hooves. Given that these god forsaken things run around all the damn time (They do not sleep, they wait) on places like volcanic plains and burning steppes, a wonderful thing called evolution has made their hooves impervious to heat, and, in fact, the average Helicorn hoof is hot enough to cause a forest fire with its mere presence. Always.

You know how horses are herbivores? Well, fuck that! If there is something Helicorns love, it is the squirming flesh of a helpless prey. That, and chocolate carrots. But anyway, their teeth are adapted to the consumption of the flesh of other beasts, as are their intestines. Helicorns require a shitton of daily food and water intake, and as water is scarce (Food is not, for anything that lives will do well in feeding the beast) in the places these creatures usually thrive in, they are a very territorial species, hardly if ever found in groups. They also are not as vulnerable to death by colic, as they can vomit, unlike their Earthern counterparts. Whatever the hell it is that gave them indigestion, however, passes through a fugacious but complicated chemical process that turns it into fire. So, yes, these things puke fire.

A Helicorn's senses are nothing to be afraid of, just enough to know where you are, and where you're trying to run when you see them. They have five eyes, two on one side of their head, two on the other and the last near their hearts, which they use to gaze into your deepest nightmares. Or, perhaps they don't. Perhaps, just perhaps, it is a vestigial organ of unknown origins which suspiciously ressembles a deformed giant eye. But you can bet your ass that nobody has ever tried to study that thing. And lived, anyway. Their hearing is rather advanced, and in fact Helicorns have grown to develop an aesthetic preference of sorts for certain sounds. Panicked screams are a favorite for them.

Helicorns, as one could expect from any beast born in Hell, are much more resistant than their Earthly counterparts, being able to gallop much faster and support over twice as much weight. Their hide is thick, and quite resistant, in particular to piercing weapons (They're safe from bludgeoning because nobody is mad enough to get so close). Like most beasts of Hell, and indeed, most living beings inhabiting it, they have several redundancies, organ-wise, which also make them more efficient and less likely to die. They are proud and temperamental creatures, extremely difficult to get close to and even harder to tame. The first person to ever bond with a Helicorn was a distant ancestor of the Astaroth bloodline. Helicorns also, as their name might suggest, happen to have a horn protruding from their skulls in the form of a jagged black spiral, which they often use to impale other creatures. Speaking of which, their mating rituals are quite the sight to behold. They involve large, empty spaces (These do not need to be empty beforehand, and in fact, many times entire towns have had to be evacuated because a mating rite was about to take place. The problem is, most things that are there at the start are no longer there at the end), gratuitously gory scenes, symphonies composed of electric guitars and choirs, and a sexual deviancy that scars many a demon. These things are usually filmed and broadcasted. Yay.

The worst part? They're psychic. Yep, you heard it. These god damned nightmarish Hell horses are psychic. While they share no language with any civilization of sentient creatures, they seem to understand each other on a fundamental level (Not that this keeps them from goring the shit out of each other) and have been known to be able to communicate with or even manipulate demons who wander close enough and manage to remain alive. It is not yet known how they are able to do this, but scientists claim that at one point, Mother Nature wished to punish the world for all its sins.

Helicorns are extremely few in number, but make no mistake, they sure as fuck aren't an endangered species. There is hardly anything in existence that could possibly "endanger" them. Their hide is usually of a very dark color, with their manes being rather bright in contrast.

One of the most abysmal attempts at FT RPing in living memory may be ending.

Though, I suppose it should be "NS", not "P2TM". A Mod must have towed it over to II while I wasn't watching.

For one, he creates freeform RPs then gets bored and inserts plot railroading despite the protests of 90% of the RPers in said RPs. I participated in one as a stress-valve. It did not help my stress levels.

For another, he has a habit
of lapsing into
posting like this
in order to avoid
writing one line responses
because he says he doesn't
have time to RP properly.

Thirdly, he thinks he deserves to be made a Mentor, and desires the position for petty power and the egotrip of being able to tell RPers he doesn't like that they're "doing it wrong".

So yeah, that.

Anyways, enthusiastic highly-active fellow, but he's currently wasting his potential on petty vindictiveness and strange dictatorial tendencies. The lad needs a few more years in the wine cellar before he'll be a vintage I can stomach.

You know, It's good that those dictatorial types are mostly in the "Nation RP" part of P2TM. Though I did encounter some dicks in the Character RP part.

When the war is over
Got to start again
Try to hold a trace of what it was back then
You and I we sent each other stories
Just a page I'm lost in all its glory
How can I go home and not get blown away

Indeed. I find Nation-RPs in P2TM tend to be either quite good, or "hate realism so not II but still RPing at II-newfish level", which can get quite daft.
Quite the unofficial fellow. Former P2TM Mentor specializing in faction and nation RPs, as well as RPGs. Always happy to help.
