What is it? City? Province? State?: It's both a city and some sort of semi-autonomous country. It's complicated.
Language(s) spoken: Cantonese, Mandarin, English, other Chinese dialects
Population: 15 million
Description: Hong Kong has a rather strange position in the international sphere. It's not its own autonomous country, as Great Britain relinquished control of the country in 1997 and gave it back to China. And yet it's not really part of China, as it has its own government and its own brand of currency, laws, government, etc.
It's both a city, and a semi-autonomous country of sorts, split up into eighteen different districts. Because it houses fifteen million people in an area of approximately 1104 square kilometers, it's rather crowded. The vast majority of people live in high rise apartment buildings, the streets (especially as you approach closer to Central) are always crowded and clogged with traffic, and it seems as if there's no escape from the masses that are out sightseeing, shopping, going to work, having lunch, whatever. Everyone is always going somewhere, it seems, and all with the backdrop of skyscrapers (most notably the famous HSBC and Bank of China buildings in Central) above and the busy subway below. it's a rather vibrant place, a place full of opportunity and freedom on the doorstep of China.
So sort of like Heavensgate being on the doorstep of Hell.
The country is a vital hub for shipping, and a large amount of goods are imported, exported, and reexported daily. It is also a leading financial center, with billions if not trillions of dollars in various foreign and domestic currencies passing through its borders every year. Of course, with the rise of new colonies in Hell, vast amounts of raw goods come in to be manufactured into finished goods, stamped with "Made in Hong Kong" and resold in Hell for approximately 10x the cost of production.
Economics, people!
Some angels and demons have immigrated to Hong Kong in recent years, seeking some new opportunities. They are left to fight for housing and jobs, and often end up in rather cramped apartments with about ten roommates and with a rather shitty job.
Demographics: Approximately 93% Chinese descent humans, 5% other human races, 2% angels and demons.

This flag change was completely random.

It does become suggestive, when you pair it with my own one.

L-Elf hasn't done one good kick so far. It's just "shooty shooty shoot" and "le stabby stab von staberry"Agri wrote:

"Shoko, what are you going to do with those two fingers?!?"

Nat: Night's always in some bizarre state somewhere between "intoxicated enough to kill a hair metal lead singer" and "annoying Mormon missionary sober".
Swith: It's because you're so awesome. God himself refreshes the screen before he types just to see if Nightkill has written anything while he was off somewhere else.

Regardless, L-Elf is still better. His chessmaster-like mind is way more entertaining than what any form fighting anyone can produce.
Well, most forms of fighting, at least those featured in that anime. I'm actually pretty glad they're not making such a big deal out of it; no thousand hidden abilities that keeps elevating one side above the other which I've grown to associate with several Gundam series. I did audibly sigh when Dorssia pulled out their humanoid machine with massive laser-shooting foam fingers.
