Alright than, Ralnis. I think I explain rather potently in my post why trying to suppress the revolt on Isim with my intervention is neigh impossible, but if you'd like, we can hold a battle.

I know I am over extended and I was going to pull out because Quishes' son is not like him( Quishes was a brutal warlord) and so really you just give me another reason to leave, but it was fun having Sicily colonize Greece for a change. :)

but I could try and see if its possible to do so, not hard to try!

Nation name:Samferþafólki (Samfethafolki)
Type of government: Is something like this acceptable?
Leader's name:Þórhildur Þorsson
Leader's statistics:
Administrative - 4
Military - 1
Diplomatic - 4
Name of Culture, Language, and a brief description:
The Samferþafólki are descended from a group of families who left the frozen fjords of Norway by a rudimentary boats and settled along the coast of Iceland, they call themselves the Samferþafólki (meaning the travel/travelers). As such they take on many typically Scandinavian physical characteristics. They are often of tall and stocky build. With blond hair and blue eyes. Their skin is fair. Their language and culture is loosely based around modern Icelandic, with belief in Pagan gods at the center of their life. Their are at at least 150 gods with about 50 of them patrons of different clans and chiefs. The other 100 are governors of nature, such as the wind, fire, water, ice etc. Their surnames take on the name of the first name of the mother for males, and the first name of the father for females, attaching "sson" (mas.) or "dóttir" (fem.) depending on the gender.

The first names are derived from complimentary words, such as "Þórn" which means healthy. Their language is much different than what it was before they migrated, the language that has developed their is almost foreign to the language of the Samferþafólki, only sharing a few similar characteristics, such as the way surnames are chosen. The Samferþafólki value strength and intelligence as such from early age children work on foraging and building and are taught to memorize the stories of their gods. They are also expected to speak properly and have a full understanding of their languages grammar etc.

Briefly Describe, in a paragraph, your nation's religion:
The religion as described above is pagan, worshiping some 150 gods, 50 of the gods are patrons of a certain clan or chieftain, while the other 100 are governors of nature, controlling elements such as fertility, ice, water and fire. They believe that no single god is supreme and that every one cannot exist without each other. They have one main story revolving around the god "Þórn" who is god of the sea, and lightning. The story tells how they came to the land they live in now. Their main creation story is that a god who they call the Nameless One created the world and the gods and then disappeared. The story is as follows:

Along time ago there was nothing, just an empty blackness. In that blackness however rested a cloud, on that cloud rested an egg. The egg never cracked it remained motionless, the cloud however floated around all over the blackness. One day the cloud bumped into a being a being known as the Nameless One, the Nameless One, curious as to what was in the egg broke it open. Out spewed the world. Everything was chaotic, with no gods to rule over nature harmony could not exist, so the Nameless One created the gods, and the stars and the universe. And everything was harmonious. The Nameless One was never seen again.

The story of how they got to Iceland:

The Samferþafólki lived in a land far, far away, where it was prosperous and filled with animals to eat, the rivers overflowed with fish and sap overflowed from the trees. The Samferþafólki where hunters and fisherman, they never went hungry. One day however things where different the fish all lay dead along the shores, the animals would not be slain by anything and the sap had become poisoning, using what little sap they had left and birch bark they made canoes and began to paddle away to search for anew home. While traveling across the sea a mighty storm arose lightning struck the canoes and they began to sink, the god Þórn not wishing for them to die made a net, and then pulled them out of the sea, he then created a huge canoe, made of stone. He commanded them to head west, to Íslendinga (what they call their land) and told them that this canoe would not break nor sink. When they got to Íslendinga they where amazed, everywhere their was hot springs contrasting the cold. They found whales, fish, seals and puffins. they soon crafted a new life for themselves and the new generations.

A really good application, really. I love the detail that has been put into it. Question, you're applying for Late Antiquity, correct?
Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

Well, the iron age is not open, and in fact almost done. The next era, Early Antiquity, has a few people entering the scene, and there is room for you as well, but you'd have to change your location. If you accept entering in the Late Antiquity stage, then you're accepted. Keep in mind though, that even then Iceland is pretty much a volcanic mess and nothing much else, so you'd have trouble actually expanding, due to the fact that your sailing would be a little below-par.

Yes, as those are all Bronze Age technologies. You will be able to select 12 of the technologies from the Iron Age and Early Antiquity combined.

I can't reserve anything for you.
Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

My app for Late Antiquity

Application
Nation name: Grakur

Type of government: Absolute Hereditary Monarchy

Leader's name: Aledruss Foregarnen

Leader's statistics: Military: 3
Administrative: 5
Diplomatic: 1

Name of Culture, Language, and a brief description: The Grakuran culture revolves around social status and hierarchy. Almost everything is hierarchical: family, gender, government, etc. While normally people are born into these niches, some can rarely "move-up". While this is highly respected, it is exceedingly rare. Certain social classes usually have their own patron gods as well.

The highest class is the royal family, where the king has absolute control of the entire country. This is followed by the "chosen ones" or psychics who are thought to have the gift to communicate with the gods. They are often seperated at birth and raised to work in temples and shrines in the major towns. Below them are the philosophers, people considered artistically or intellectually superior to the common people and are hand-picked by the king as either advisors, thinkers or inventors. The next and largest class is the warrior class, who do the fighting and work on the boats. Below them are the common people: fishermen, farmers, miners, herders. The lowest are the servant class, who are often captured from neighboring areas and forced to work for the royal family or as seamen.

Before being united into the Grakuran Kingdom, villages and farms would usually be run by large families. These families would also govern towns as well, and there would often be bloody conflicts between rival families for control of a town. However, most families were very poor and had little farmland. Sometimes, two families might combine so as to gain more land. When two people got married, the more powerful families surname would either be kept, or sometimes the names be combined (e.g. Oliner and hagsur would become Olinahagsur). This is the case with the current king, when the two most powerful families The Forers and the Garns married and Hadser Forer adopted the name Foregarnen and eventually came to become the head of the family through cleverness and some corruption. With all that power, he managed to conquer many of the smaller families and unite them into the Grakuran Kingdom, and establish a hereditary monarchy. Hadser made sure that the royal family wouldn't marry outside of their own, and this is continued by his grandson Aledruss.

In the Grakuran language, the r is often dropped at the end of a word. For example, "Grakur" becomes "Grakuu". Also, any vowels after an r are often emphasized, like "sarilt" is pronounced "sareelt" and "toraw" is pronounced "toray". However, that is probably about the only similarity between speakers of grakuri. With so many families, there dozens of different dialects, with only a small percentage of grakuris speaking the dialect of the royal family.

National Symbol: The erine, a small sword used by grakuri, and a bushel of wheat

Briefly Describe, in a paragraph, your nation's religion: Like the Grakuri culture, grakuri gods are based off of hierarchy and social status. The god of royalty "Lospiron" is the king of all gods and is the patron god of the royal family. It is believed that the Lospiron made a deal with Hadser that made him king of the Grakuri and Lospiron king of the gods. There is a god for each social class and status possible. There is a god of farming, a god of mining, a god of weather, a god of the ocean, etc. There are few goddesses, and the few that do exist are seen as weak, mirroring the view of women in Grakuri society. Uniquely, in Grakuri culture, there are "stagnant" and "fluid" gods. Stagnant gods have a definite form and powers, and are forced to govern the same domain for eternity. Examples of this is Yotin, the god of time. This represents how even if things change, time never changes. "Fluid" gods change their appearance, domains and sometimes even names over time. For example, Orala, the god of weather changes with the seasons being described as "warm, gentle bearded man" in the summer and a "cruel, unfeeling and deceptive assassin" in the winter.

Map Claims: The four westernmost provinces in Wales if that is acceptable. If it's too much to start with, I'll take two or three of them as long they are connected.

Also, should I put the technologies I want as well?
economic left/right= 0.12
social libertarian/authoritarian=-2.16
