Try minarchy. It's good for the economy, brings in loads of money but there will be a large jump in inequality, most probably. It's a state that supplies only a police force, army, legislature, administration and fire department (no free schools, no free healthcare etc).

Inequality makes for terrible long-term growth. And without their world-class school systems, Singapore and Hong Kong would be in a terrible position.

With the spheres of influence with Jefferson agreed, The empire sends both troops and diplomats to Alaska, and the Hawai islands. All of Alaska, and all of the islands in the Hawaii Islands except for O'ahu, Maui and Hawai'i are incorporated into the Empire. The Pearl Harbor base area on O'ahu is also annexed by Jetan as per the agreement with Jefferson. In the case of the Hawaii Islands, this was mostly a diplomatic effort, and in the case of Alaska, just sort of take over, as there is little population left, and that little was not organised. People will be needed from other parts of the empire, to take full advantage of the natural resources of Alaska.

Elsewhere in the empire, first Jetanese satellites after the collapse have been launched. The operation has mostly been a succes, altought one of the satellites was damaged in a failed launch, and needs repair to reach operational status again.

Now the navy is properly equipped with stronger forces and can face more serious dangers.
And Romania was rebuilt bring it to an average Polish status which increased population and the rebel group know as Black death was killed off and the threat is gone.

Those aren't naval lines. Those black lines are used when nations control small islands either too small to see correctly, or to show who do they belong to.
