Sooooooo, who needs me? What do I have to answer? I've done my best to keep up, but I might have missed a bit. Here's what I'm going to answer, if I missed you, then reply.

~Border dispute resolution with Colombia
~The conference in Europe (I intend to acquire pieces of western Africa)
~The Rio Conference? Maybe?
~Meeting the step-mother in Portugal (eeesh...)
~Immediately continuing on through Spain, then into France, where I will stop 'til the next post
~A Communique concerning the events between Argentina, Russia, and the US

Anything else?

I retired.

Don't say we didn't warn you ;)

Technically, if the government disbanded in exchange for holding positions and being represented in the new government of the Republican Restoration, Britain might be made to see reason. Plus you'll be able to use millions of pounds that will be flowing into the country to rebuild France, in YOUR communist image!

In the meantime, would you purchase Egyptian-manufactured firearms? We have Chassepots (the ones we took from French stockpiles anyhow), Snider-Enfields, Rolling Blocks, and much more! Only 99.95!

But wait, there's MORE!

Krupp guns, THAT'S RIGHT, Krupp guns at landmark prices with 10% discount! You heard us, TEN PERCENT DISCOUNT! Offers available while stocks last!

(Available in all regions and nations except Nebraska. Terms and conditions apply.)

We have enough weapons, as many soldiers who defected to the Home Guard ranks seized stockpiles- Well, what you hadn't already taken :p What I might be interested in though would be military assistance. I keep my independence, you gain another friendly regime on the European mainland rather than the nobility electing someone like Thiers or even the Legitimists - You don't want them reinstalling the Emperor now, do you?

Egypt really does want Napoleon III back. He'd be a Prussian puppet that is pro-Egypt (and in their gratitude for giving him back his throne) as well as anti-Britain. Or else Thiers, who is also in good relations.

But oh well.

Egypt, as part of an ultimatum from Britain, cannot be within sight of French soil for a year. Britain's not likely to go back on this be it through loophole or through an offer of intervention. But sure, have your stinking weaponless, malfunctioning coastal defence ships!

I doubt Napoleon III would be too happy about the whole invasion, deposition, looting and sacking thing, but sure :p

Seriously, if you're going to war with Britain anyway why bother about their ultimatums? You'd already be at war with them, they can hardly threaten you with more war. Though my army's experienced and growing rapidly in number, it's hardly organised to start a war on two front by itself. If I were to have the support of another nation though, I'd be willing to make political concessions in exchange for aiding the defence of France...

All that happened after he was deposed and the Republic and the Commune rose.

At war with Britain? Oh, the folly! We are simply supporting its enemies through weaponry though not actually being involved in any way. But since you're not gonna buy them anyway my hands remain clean.

EDIT: Good night folks.

I don't know, 50,000 max for a whole batch? I am clueless when it comes to firearm pricing.

2ND EDIT: More importantly, upon the destruction of the French army in the Franco-German War?

I would assume that they would be still under Republican control, since no one sent replacement officials.

Anywho, time to create the Fourth Republic.

Will have a post up soon, responding to your little demands.

I should point out that the Commune hasn't laid any claims to former French colonies and won't attempt to take them. You're free to divide up France's old empire as you wish, but please don't try and divide up France.

The Commune has already formed an effective state and holds the authority in France. In fact, the Provisional Government appears to better fit the definition of rebels - They're fighting an armed insurgency against the established government.

They're monarchists - It'd either be the emperor or a new king, both of whom would likely be opposed to the foreigners who sacked their country.

There is a very great difference between Legitimists and Bonapartists and the fact that they can, together with the entire rest of the world, agree that the murderous Communard types should be eradicated doesn't mean that they could ever reach a compromise about who should rule France. The Legitimists and Orléanists couldn't even compromise, if they had France would have become a monarchy, and they are far closer to one another than either are to the Bonapartists.

I should point out that, though you're correct in all, the Count of Chambord (who the legitimists wanted on the throne), before his death, appointed Phillipe d'Orleans as his heir. Unfortunately for the royalists, who could unite behind the successor, this came just after they lost their majority. It does not mean, however, that a foreign power can assume that they would be unable to co-operate in order to establish a monarchy that would seek revenge against not only those who deposed it but those who sacked their cities...

Considering Glasgia is failing to offer his own demands in out Tg negotiations, would anyone be interested in attacking the Communard rebels? I'll pay it back at some point.
