Its strange.... last night as I was struggling to get to sleep and contemplating on my life I had a discussion with myself, on a topic very similar to what you just said. It had to do with how I could think up of all these reasonably good ideas and get into detailed world building, but then whenever I try to novelize what I envision I just can't do it.... I don't understand.... I can write with confidence in RPs but when I try to write on the word document or google docs I somehow feel a mental block constantly plaguing my every effort... I lose confidence in myself too easily in such processes.

The same happens to me, I always end up writing scenes, or acts in something larger; never able to capture the full vision; the scape is lost in a narrow lense. I think something like that is what is happening, I just don't feel a drive currently. I'd prefer to RP then to Host.

I do have a character in mind for that Fantasy RP, the Antagonist. I knew that having a good Antagonist would be key to keeping the RP going. However, it would seem that if I introduced the antagonist I had in mind to; that the majority of the characters would join her, as I've not established enough about the setting. I've not given the players time to seep into the setting... and thus I'm at an end. If I go though with my plans, the entire world will be changed, for it's unlikely in my mind that the characters who would oppose her, could possibly resist her, and her PC allies.

She's the type of character a lot of the PC's can connect with. It's a good story, just not what I had in mind to portray, and thus I'm having to wait till my mind becomes adjusted to the mentality, and comfortable with what would most likely become of Equalia.

I'd offer to help, it's just, the Kingdom is already a tad similar to Equalia. Perhaps having been inspired by the same source material, and then modified to disguise that material. I don't know, I think only one concept is similair... they are different. The Kingdom if darker then Equalia, but considering the characters in the Equalian RP... Equalia may share that darkness. I mean, just look at some of the characters in Equalia? These aren't the heroes I had anticipated, these are people who would see Equalia change.

Heck, that gives me a vonderful idea!

Why not just start a new RP that takes place after those characters assist the Antagonist, and then just play her, and those characers while having the main focus be removing her from power? That'd-

Though I suppose the characters at least deserve to experience the take over, even though starting latter would allow them to be as powerful as they desire due to her gratitude. Who knows, a nice Civil War RP would be WONDERFUL! *slightly sarcastic*

I'm actually warming up to that idea, but ponder if I'm getting ahead of my self.

You are assuming that they'll all go on her side...
I'd say it's more evenly split. So all we need do to make it more interesting and fair is introduce a powerful NPC of some sort on the other side.

I'm still working on it. I just haven't had time. The Kingdom of the Scarlet Eagle will also be highlighted in detail. I thought about having two separate threads. A court rp and a hero rp, but don't have an idea. I'm actually inspired by odd phrases in obscure songs and a play I wrote to put this world together.

Their is Solaris, who wasn't actually going to appear, as I felt he'd off set the RP, and make the Antagonist less of a threat. Though now that I consider actual game mechanics, he wouldn't really off set the RP.

Ah, alright.

Multiple threads has worked for some RPs, mostly in relation to location, though i've never been in one that has to know how it works.

Harb, mind if organize a team for you? After looking at some of the best teams in the world (Yes, military, that is all I know :P) I have come up with a plan.

We need to embrace what makes us different, use that to our advantages. Culturally, politically, economically, emotionally, mentally; none of us are the same- and that is a good thing. I am good with histories and emotional feel when given the required time to do so. I can also pull some decent stuff out of my ass when time runs out. So I will gladly help you with making a history for this story- never know it might end up better than OM&T

So what makes us all different? Each one of us has a different reason to tick and don't be afraid to say it.
... crap I just volunteered myself didn't I?

Welp, normal middle class America kid born towards the end of the 90's, grew up on superhero shows and war games. Learned how to shoot as soon as I could pull a trigger. Favorite color's whatever camo fits the place I'm heading. I adore history and get pretty emotional at times (just ask my ex's) working under pressure tends to be where I love to be because my adrenaline starts pumping and hitting my objective becomes my only purpose to live in that moment. As it stands I don't really know what keeps me going everyday; I think it might be the joy of keeping the men to my left and right alive though.

So what makes all of us different? What can we use to our advantage that no other team can? If we figure all that out then there is no goal we cannot hit, no objective we cannot win.

I was born in 1993, America and grew up playing the Atari, and watching what my dad would allow; G.I. That channel was Boomerang, where I became attached to Scooby-Doo, Jabber Jaw, Josie and the Pussy-Cats in Outer Space, and my favorite, Sealab 2020.

Social Studies, and Science where may favorite classes in school, and I have Aspergers. I suppose that's what makes me different. It's difficult for me to understand social interaction, and I had to undergo speech therapy in Elementary School. I managed to pull my self out of special ed by my final year of middle school, and was in normal classes by High School. Emotions are hard for me to handle, and I tend to lock them away, till something, usually something minor, causes them to come out. Often it's the outbursts of anger that I remember the most, the outbursts that leave me feeling guilt.

So that is how you play Terra well? See I never knew that, we are a bit alike in background. I never had special education though, but due to my ear drum rupturing I could not hear until they reconstructed it. Yeah, I'm a pretty troublesome kid between the ear problem, eye problems, cancer- no wonder my father had so much grey hair :P
