It would seem we do have a lot to consider, since this is based on American comics... and giving some reflection, and how we can have history however we want, it wouldn't be that far fetched to imagine the US dipping into those reserves. The Cold War might have made it so that we had to, sort of like, rather then purchasing oil from the allies of the USSR. Iran, Egypt, Syria (I think, I cant' tell what the third is) where allies of the USSR in 1959. Saudia Arabia wasn't though... however, based on that map we really could have started exploiting local resources.

Edit: Though, if we do so, it would most likely mean that Eisenhower's proposal for the Middle East did not pass, and that we may have one or two communist states in the region. That aside, the US would be more stable when it comes to infrastructure. This might also explain it's technological advancement.

I like the idea of that.

I think what we need now for this world is some heroes, heroes from the past to shape our character's present.

I do always have that magic vs technology thing. I could potentially run that in tandem with the spirits rp...
Hmm... It will be quite a considerable workload though...

Don't overload your self, I'm just trying to consider what sort of individuals would be present in the history of the world. Superwise, to have paved the way for superhero organizations, etc.

I wanted to bring in some Marvel aspects, like the Mutant Control Acts. DC really didn't have anything like that happen, and I feel that having such in the RP would help it's grey tone.

Just need to decide the current status of such laws, like, where they initially strict, only to have become lax in recent years?

I, suppose I can say that I don't really see that as necessary in the Sorrow of the Dead. I think maintaining the current prompt involving a search for relife will do fine, ofcourse, I'm not sure how you'd plan to bring in the concept of Magic vs Technology.

No I meant another rp, at the same time.
But yeah, your right. I shouldn't overload myself.

I'd respond to what's going on in the Fantasy RP if my mind was in the right mindset, to clarify, my mind is not in the setting at this time, and thus any ruling, or post I make would be less then fine quality.

Okay. I'l wait till your ready then.
In the meantime, I've found some music for the town. (And generally somewhat relaxing music)

Well after some study related delays I've got the OM&T prequel RP up, set in 2013 of the OM&T timeline, during the final years of the Order.

Of Men and Titans: Absolution

Players can choose either side, for their characters to be aligned with the Order and the Sanctioned or the Rebellion against the world government.

It's likely that the Superhero setting is one that I wont be hosting an RP for, something others might have to work with while I simply coordinate content, and be involved as an RPer for the most part. I'm not much of a storyteller, more the background, and world builder who can imagine some scenes in the world, but fails to bring it to life.

I'm not about to join any more OMAT things. The interest isn't there anymore, and I gave up the canon awhile ago.

Same here, I don't mind KGA, I'm just not really interested in it. Not like I use to be. I'm sure the interest will return, but I doubt anyone else would be willing to give it a try by then... we'd probably just end up making something like OM&T. I really don't care what Avalon, or Jariri does with the setting. It's nice for it to continue on, I'm sure someone will like that.
