China is currently only mentioned in 1914 to 1918 sections of the timeline, where the Order had the north under it's control in 1914, full control in 1917 with resistance in the form of military remnants popping up in 1918.

Would those entries require alteration?

Alright, honest opinion and/or statement of disinterest;

Gamma World: The ANIMALS OF RIKHMAN (OOC/Sign Up)
Prologue
At the end of the 24th century, the social issues of the previous decades exploded into global conflicts in which every part and member of society was involved. Civilization was destroyed in the sweep of these Social Wars as the lasers, biogenic agents, and nuclear warheads took their toll. Those who survived soon found them selves witnessing a biogenic revolution as animals like none other soon repopulated the Earth. It is now the year 2480, lizards with telepathy and unnatural savage creatures are now common sight. The the age of Anarchy has passed, civilization has been reborn.

WELCOME TO RIKHMAN, VERGENYA

One of the various areas of rebirth in this new world. It's focus, the revival of the United States. It's not alone in this goal, despite it's neighbors who have moved to either reject the past, or have forgotten it; Rikhman keeps it as best it can. It's part of a vast network of linked communities whose aim is to restore the nations of the world to their former glory. It's streets may be in need of maintenance but most of it's buildings have been renewed, though planning, and hard work they continue to restore what was once the capital of a nation that had taken part in the United States of America. A restoration they have achieved, with the assistance of their pets. Animals have long been kept as pets by humans, tended by, and cared for. When the decedents of the pets who survived the Social Wars began to exhibit signs of a child like intellect, and eventually speech it was only natural for the humans to continue to look after them as their ancestors had in the past. Much has changed since those early years, the pets have become smarter then they had been, and the city has grown. With these developments, have come adjustments in the legal code to compensate.

Masters
There are many masters in Rikhman, with the majority of the population having at least one evolved pet, as the individuals are known. The demeaner of the masters are rather diverse; ranging from almost familial in relation to their pets, to detached, and domineering. Pet keeping is a rather rooted tradition in Rikhman, one the residents will widely defend.

Pets
The Pets of Rikhman are a near human lot, both in bodily build, and intellect, descended primarily from cats, and dogs, who having been the largest of the pet populations during the Social Wars had plenty of genetic stock to develop under the effects of biological weaponry. Stray animals are either looked upon with sympathy (having no home, and having to find food on their own), or with a slight distrust as their is no telling how a creature whose become accustomed to the wild might react to a human. Pets are subject to a number of laws meant for the safety of themselves, and their Human masters.
  • Pet must have clear indication of ownership at all times, the most common form of this is a collar, and tag with the individuals name, the owner's name, and contact information.
  • Animals found with out identification are to be taken to one of three Animal Shelters to be tended to in the hopes that someone will take them in.
  • Bestiality is forbidden, and punishable for either party involved. Animals will be 'fixed', while humans will be subject to 8 weeks of imprisonment, and a 340 Domar fine for indecency.
  • Pets are the responsibility of their owners, and thus any action the pet takes can be a reflection upon the owner. The owner is obliged to provided some form of covering, shelter, and food for their pet who in turn is expected to be loyal to the master. An owner may disown a pet at anytime, sending them to one of the shelters is the legal requirement for this, though some simply kick them out of the house, with out identification, making them one of the stray. Pets are not allowed to make medical decisions for themselves.
  • A pet may not harm a human. The master will be expected to pay for treatment of any intentional harm an animal does to a human, or to another pet. If a pet kills a human the pet shall be put down. Rikhman has a single Black Ray pistol, a weapon that instantly kills any target, for the express purpose of execution. The quick nature of the death, and lack of visible harm to the body, makes the Black Ray pistol a humane tool for putting the animal down.
  • Pets may only enter establishments, or use facilities that have been set aside, or licensed for their service. This includes drinking fountains, restrooms, restaurants, and entertainment. Some stores may have signs forbidding an animal from entering unaccompanied by a human, or entering at all. Animals who break the law are held at the Pound, which is an animal only prison, and correctional facility with in Rikhman.

You
You are a recent addition to one of the local Animal Shelters in the town of Rikhman. The animals here come from a variety of pasts; some where simply passing though, others where taken away from their masters, and many where sent here as pups, cubs, and kittens. The facilities here are minimal, a few rooms full of bunk beds, a common room, dining hall, a medical center, and a few isolation areas down below in the basement. The staff isn't that lively, save the younger volunteers. It'd be an ok place if you weren't on a limited time, to make the obvious as brief as possible, not everyone who goes down below for a check up returns.

I have no idea, nor who wrote it.

I wrote this thinking it may have taken awhile for rural China to be pacified combining history with alt-history. I just thought considering the size of China and the providential nature of some areas that even while the Order had won control of it, it took a long while for it to be fully assimilated.
Zhang served as a military escort for Empress Dowager Cixi during the Boxer Uprising. He fought for the Qing at Nanjing in 1911, and then after the fall of the Qing, he remained loyal to Yuan Shikai. Despite serving as a general in the new Republic, he refused to cut his queue, as a symbol of his loyalty to the Qing. He was called the "Queue General". He seized Nanjing from the KMT in 1913, defeating the Second Revolution. Despite allowing his troops to savagely loot the city, Zhang was named a field marshal by Yuan. In 1917 Zhang entered Beijing to restore Puyi along with Kang Youwei but was thwarted by other generals. Zhang then took refuge in rural China.

The Chinese Nationalist
After the failure to return the monarchy to power, China was still relatively weak. This allowed the Order to easily conquer most of China by early 1921. Disheartened and unsatisfied with the Western domination of China many sought out the Queue General. Zhang and his men had been executing guerrilla raids on government targets before this time and when met with these new recruits they were able to reorganize into a new organization. Known as the Chinese Nationalist Union, by February, 1922 they had worked out a group identity based on a the following points:

The Qing Dynasty is the rightful ruler of all of China and Mongolia.
Western education and culture is made to subvert Chinese tradition.
Abhumans are responsible for Chinese disunity and rebellion that allowed the Westerners to conquer China.
Our History is Our Culture
After his death in 1923, the Chinese Nationlist Union continued to function, often underground, to undermine the Order's rul

Anthropomorphic

(for player purposes, and the purpose of exploring the society's social situation. Though I'm sure their would be less developed pets, for example, the Podog breed occasionally produced telepathic individuals, and naturally has the ability to mimic human voices. The telepathic individuals are intelligent enough to actually possess human speech, yet appearance wise they still appear as a giant Mastiff)

Okay. Lets see...
  • Shield Fighter:
  • Forceful Bash: With a mighty thrust you force your opponent back by a meter's distance. three times a day.
  • Shift: You switch your position with an adjacent Soldier, either moving them out of harms way, or your self. Shift requires consent from both Soldiers.

I'd change Iron Wall and Porcupine March, it's problematic if someones character is the only solider.
Or alternately, keep them. Merely have the solider have a companion or subordinate of sorts (A shield mate if you will)

Shield fighter can allow someone to use a shield and armour without decreasing their overall speed or encumbering them by much.

I'd add abilities involving tripping people with spears, perhaps some sort of increase to endurance too?

Sword Saint Edits:
  • Swordsman: A sword is not merely a weapon to a Swordsaint, but an extension of the self. With a blade you may now perform complex manoeuvres and tactics. You also have intuitive knowledge over all weapons.
  • Armor Piercing Strike: With careful precision your blade slips past armor, and into vulnerable flesh.
  • Dual Wielding: Ability to fight with two swords proficiently i.e. with equal attention.
  • Whirlwind of Blades: You become a living whirlwind of blades, able to strike and combat multiple foes as if you were fighting them singularly. This also gives you a special move where you may strike all those around you that are within range.

Suggestion abilities
  • Feint and Strike: You may feint an attack that draws your opponents weapon, leaving them open for a second strike.
  • Storm of Metal: You bombard your foe with dozens of attacks, exhausting them and putting them on the defensive as they try to block them.
  • Disarm: Some sort of disarm ability
  • Parry and Counter:

As for the Warrior, perhaps his strength could steadily increase throughout the levelling system.

  • Iron Wall: Requires up to two other soldiers adjacent, all with shields. By linking shields you create a barrier that will block most melee blows.
  • Porcupine March: Requires Spear, and up to two other soldiers adjacent. With linked shields, and armed spears you and your comrades approach your opponent(s) in such a way that makes harming them easy, while harming ye all difficult.

I'd change Iron Wall and Porcupine March, it's problematic if someones character is the only solider.

That would make sense, each increase having a name given to it; ox, bear, etc and each allowing the lifting of something heavier. Herculean being the strongest.

The soldiers class is designed to not only be a shield fighter, but to have an emphasis on teamwork. I realize being the only soldier in the group, and having these abilities you have mentioned, and no one to use them with, would isolate the individual, rather then integrate them. Thus the ability to substitute would make sense, however if the others are not skilled in the shield, or spear, such substitution wouldn't work as effectively. Save in the case of the shift ability.

An increase in endurance, and more pole arm related abilities would also improve the class. I'll make use of the proposed shield fighter effects.

When it comes to the swords saint, all those seem perfect.

Hmm... I guess the solider could work. It would simply be more effective with more people.

As for the Warrior, perhaps he can also have some sort of rage ability, similar to a barbarian.

This has a fairly complete list, though the fighter classes have yet to be added.

Agreed, though we'd have to figure out how that would effect game play; perhaps it can be a way to tap into that strength we had spoke of, as well as to get a temporary boast of energy, like a second wind.

The Animals of Rikhman has been launched, though I'm rather uncertain as to how it will be taken by casual observers.

Want me to design some classes for the Fae? I have some books on mysticism from all over Europe and a few are pretty specific to that topic.

Maybe... It could increase his strength considerably but tire him out too.
I'm assuming the Warriors suppose to do as much damage as possible.
Perhaps he could also have abilities around targeting parts of his opponent, like tendons and such, to weaken them.

Well, we, do have the druid class as Fae specific, though I wouldn't mind seeing your suggestions. Do keep in mind that the Fae where once a race of warriors. :)

Soldier; versatility, and defense
Swordsaint, speed, and accuracy
Warrior, strength, and will/endurance

I think rage could work that way.

So, you mean like one class will probably be something like Paladin? Which is a Knight with Medical healing skills as well as specialized in fighting?

I, wasn't really sure what you would suggest... I've considered something like a paladin, a class what would require x levels as a white mage, and x levels as a yet to be created tank class, which would be armor, and power focused (armored guy with a big sword).

Though considering that currently the Druids (open only to Fae) are the only magically healing class (unless a medical class was created that would be unmagical, and require a lot of time for care to take effect), then something like a shield medic for the fae would be nice.

Perhaps I should give the white mage (which makes use of Light magic) some healing abilities, considering how light has been used to stimulate cellular growth.
