Winter, Christmas, just everything about December...
Also, what's not to love with Steam sales?

The fact that I don't have a high powered PC and I'm busy most of the time, with barely any time to relax....... Except for this week. I managed to convince all of my managers to let me have the 10 days straight without work............ How do you celebrate Christmas in China?

Well for a start I live in Hong Kong, so Christmas isn't that hard to celabrate... though most people I know don't really celebrate it.

Don't worry, I wasn't offended. We usually have turkey, if it isn't sold out...

It is interesting, very interesting. At least we didnt' end up with Zatek.

I had his app get lost when I accidentally hit refresh. His appearance , an image, his personality, and his mutations had been written down.

I keep comparing this to Shanara the first books wee cliché, but he wrote them when he was sixteen. Only later do we discover that the fantastic world he had written was populated by survivors of a global holocaust. According to the books the world cycled between magic and science.

I'm a Bahai. We are a universalist faith. I still celebrate Christmas and Easter; because I know how, but to me Christ is a prophet, Buddha is a prophet, Zoroaster, Muhammad, etc.

Also, I have an OM&T spinoff idea in the works, about the mystery of a little town called Bluefield.

Spinoff sounds interesting.

Based on the information contributed to who the Sanctioned are, Terra would most likely have become a Killer. The Path, being a terrorist organization, and enemy of the Order. Hmm... She might have been sent to kill him, which would have lead to an interesting storyline.

If they met during Book Two, which would mean that Terra survived the Battle of Columbia, she, like Neasa would be free. However, like Ushio her mind would still be altered. The Therapy having already hybridized her. She'd be a more independent individual, perhaps in hiding from the UAR. Considering how Terra during Book One didn't really despise the Order, nor desired to end it, she might in this reality have taken on a more hero like tone. Perhaps seeing her time as a Sanctioned as being a time when she actually did good. She'd see the violence, the Wars, and tell her self I can better this place. Alternatively, if her memory was wiped she might fall into some old habits (writing), and ponder her purpose. As the Order would be all she new, she would fight for some of their principles. When the Path rises, Terra would see the conflict between Unity, and Path as some sort of divine manifestation of a supernatural struggle between Good, and Evil, thus taking the fight to the Path.

Her views of the Order is similar to Neasa's if she got sanctioned.........

Anyone for a portal to the multiverse RP. I successfully ran one of them before. Basically someone has crashed universes together. You can be whoever you want and the end goal is to get back home.

Perhaps in this reality Terra met Neasa, rather then Alexandra, in Cold Harbor.

I wonder how that encounter would've ended up, would have they tried to talk or immediately part ways?

I know that, like Neasa, this Terra would probably push people away for the same reasons as her. It is something to consider.

I didn't realize, at least, it didn't occure to me, how much that one random encounter effected the two characters. She did good, with out even realizing what she had done  She not only saved a life, but made someone happy as well :)

From what I read, Terra really didn't participate in that scene, it was Alexandra that stopped Hiro from killing himself. Do you think she wouldn't have been able to convince this reality's Hiro to not to pull the trigger?

Alexandra would have been more depressed. She probably wouldn't had acted as strongly. She would had acted much like she did in Book I which was not enough then.

''My father?''

''Yes, don't tell me you've forgotten, do you think about him often?''

''Not really...he's long dead and dust.''

''Like father like son, he never made peace with his own father either.''

''My grandfather?''

''Old man, with a long white beard.''

''Never knew him.''

''You father barely knew him either, I think they met only once briefly before their bitter fallout.''

''Sounds awkward by today's standards.''

''Indeed, but times were different back then.''

''So do you know, why?''

''Ah, your father was rarely ever around was he? Always busy and leaving most of the work to your uncle while he spirited away across the world in search for-''

''Immortality.''

''He told you?''

''Only when it was too late.''

''Indeed, you may find this hard to believe but his quest wasn't entirely selfish, or at least in the beginning. Your mother was dying, and she had been dying for a while. He loved her dearly and wanted to save her, no matter the cost.''

''So instead of finding a healing elixir he went as far as immortality?''

''He loved her, he really did, but he also possessed an overreaching lust for power. I think he had wanted both himself and your mother to become immortal, together forever where death could never do them part. He was also a businessman and noble who swore allegiance to the Crown. Imagine how his status would have been elevated with immortality. But then he returned too late, his wife had died, and he fell into a moral crisis over whether or not to go ahead with it. The cost incurred would include barring you and all his descendants from the gates if heaven. But then you bounced into the equation spontaneously and it all fell apart. His plans, his hope, they all died when you came in.''

Ah,the 19th century.,Although, not as you know it. Let's take a step back in time shall we?. In 1650, the ottoman empire suddenly collpased. Noone knows why,Noone knows how.
But many tiny states emerged from the rubble of the Ottomans. One of these states was ''Athenia'' An city state based in the city of Athens, which had a great ambition , One that would invole the deaths of thousands upon thousands. Athenia was Fascist, the hard core type, that demanded alot. Athenia went on a campaign of war in Greece and western turkey. The Greek Coaliton failed to stop them, and by 1670,the state had expanded greatly... But enough about Athenia. Let's talk about Germany now. Germany went from a barely united state,to an complete state running from the entirety of alcase lorraine,to the territeos of South Denmark, from German East Belgium to Bohemia and Austria. . Bismarck was born early, and the impact was huge. Now,Other nations could have risen or fallen ,your choice. Keep it realistic. Welcome to the 1850s,the golden age... and thats the deaspricition if you dont want to go to the link.
