I, for one, am disappointed that bike helmets shaped like bedpans and tacticool vests aren't the height of modern fashion.

Good Lord, I really WANT to like that million-part History of WW2 podcast - it's just about the most in-depth historical analysis you can ask for - but the poor guy who delivers it is just the worst speaker. It's not that his voice is necessarily unpleasant; it's just that he reads his stuff like he's being shown no more than three words at a time. Emphasis is all over the place. I'm pretty sure there are some pretty severe mispronunciations. He pauses constantly, to the point where you can't tell a comma break from the end of a sentence.

Your research is good, dude! Just don't be so stilted!

Yo!
It looks AMAZING - he's up to 140 episodes over three years and he's just started covering Barbarossa and the summer of '41, which means he's on about the same time frame as ES (HAHA, funny funny), and there's all kinds of great linked maps and recommended primary sources and long, 10-episode digressions about Churchill's life story (I eat that stuff up with a spoon), but Jesus, it is a chore to actually sit and listen to.
Hire a voice actor, dude! Hell, hire me, I could probably do a pretty good job!

Anything in particular or just the entire thing?

I always watch trailers with a pinch of salt since we've had epic trailers for really crappy films and vice versa.

That said I imagine the biggest problem with the new film is going to people's nostalgia for the TV series.

Well it can't be as bad as the Star Trek reboot.

I didn't really see much point in doing them, I'd rather have a new crew, new ship and new stories.

And then they decided to rip off Wrath of Khan.... :palm:

Wrath of Khan (original, not JJ Abrams's half-hearted version) will always be, at least for me, the pinnacle of Star Trek. The Abrams reboots are fine, but don't do justice to the original material.

On another note, I have purchased my Star Wars 7 midnight screening tickets.
