Flying regulations keep pilots safe. They mean I don't have to play chicken with a 747 or a Typhoon at low level.

Personal History/Bio (more than one line please): Ricardo José Castro Dávila was born to a working-class family in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 6th, 1914, the youngest of six children. His father, who had formerly been a vocal critic of Spanish rule in Puerto Rico, was one of the first Puerto Ricans to be drafted during the First World War, and one of the few to actually see combat overseas. His father sent letters back to his family detailing the horrors of trench warfare; however in these letters he also described several aerial battles he witnessed from the ground in great detail, which would later spur Rick's interest in aviation. He died at the hands of Mustard gas during the Hundred Days Offensive, leaving only letters for his son to remember him by. From this point on he was raised only by his mother.

In 1927, at the age of 13, he heard the news of Charles Lindbergh's landing in Paris after completing his transatlantic flight, further inspiring Rick to pursue aviation. The Great Depression hit the Castro family hard, further exacerbating the poor conditions that their poverty-stricken family lived in. Along with many of his siblings, he volunteered with the Civilian Conservation Corps and was sent to North Dakota, where he was stunned by the low-flying cropdusters. After his six-month enrollment was up with the CCC, he secured a job flying as one, which he held until being laid off in 1937. With nowhere else to go, he chose to enlist in the US Navy and becoming a naval aviator. He was assigned to the USS Lexington, flying Grumman F2Fs in several fleet exercises.

Even though he was a good flier and took orders well (perhaps because of his mother), he constantly faced racism from his more intolerant copilots. This made him sympathize with the plight of the Jews and other minorities in Germany, and he was angered when they supported the Nationalists in Spain and even more so when they invaded Poland. When Rick heard that the RAF was accepting foreign nationals due to the ongoing Battle of Britain, he resigned his commission in the Navy and sailed to Liverpool. Enlisting in the RAF at Liverpool, after basic training he was assigned to No. 6 Squadron based in Mandatory Palestine, where he flew numerous sorties during the North Africa and Middle East campaigns. Though mostly involved in ground support efforts, he did dogfight with German and Italian fighters on several occasions, earning 3 kills. He was approached by the SOE on numerous occasions, who wanted him to be an agent for them in Francoist Spain, but he declined. However, he was then approached one last time, an offer for the rank of Flying Officer, the only tradeoff being something about some sort of clandestine squadron in England...

Tigger is/was busy as shit with school stuffs, as of about a month and a half ago he was still waiting to hear back from some grad schools and similar things. I imagine he's working somewhere, finishing up his school year, and other such important items of business.

I have full confidence he'll get back to us before the end of the next month.
