It was more because it moved power away from the states to the people of said states. Also, I do not think it is the time. If you put forth such things though as letting Germany run the economy of Southern European countries, I think I will hang out a while.

What the hell do you think the European Central Bank is for?

Partially.

Imperium Nova wrote:There is always time for nationalisation, Mr. EU. Also, your "Yes" is not as prevailing as your "No". Perhaps it is some interesting language which has mixed up those two words, ah well, I can help you with that. :)

Nationalisation = increase in Government spending = increase in AD = when the bust comes, and it will come, it will be worse and it will spill acid on the government.

There is, always, time for nationalisation.

Can we please not advance the conflict within Belarus any farther until tomorrow? Not all of us have seen what is happening and some of us may still need a say in it. As well, it has erupted quite fast so let's assume it takes a bit longer and have the war tomorrow within the first two weeks of June.
*Huzzah he lives!*

Nah, son. Britain was all like "yo, why my colonies be all uppity an' shit?!" And Lord Durham laid it straight: "they be wantin' legislation with representation, dawg."

How rich is Mexico? Because surely 20,000 tanks is too much for one order.

No, no, 20,000? It is 20,000,000.

Also, I think a dictatorship could afford such things. Oh, I apologise. A total democracy.

I don't know. Just, put some military juntas there to make sure they obey and stuff. Also, stop this whole freedom of movement and work for citizens thing, it seems, weird.

Of course. Trade and such. If you carry out this Nordic idea and leave the EU butthurt, you'll have Mexico's undivided effort to stop sanctions, and war, and--

Nevermind, nobody cares about us :P except SAAB. How much are those tanks again?

Well, it is 10% of their GDP, and a country spending 10% of their GDP on the military is not unheard of.

No, 20.000 thanks is a small order. It's just the initial order, we're going to have like ten times that after it. Oh, we're also going to get like 10000 Gripen fighter jets.

Sounds nice, those are a bit more expensive though. Like, 10x or so. But hey, no worries, right?

Last chance! If nobody is going to buy Iranian military equipment it will all go to Hezbollah and with that Hezbollah will take over Lebanon.

I'm going to explain to you why Schengen is a good thing in short and simple terms;

Cheap Labour.

Western and, indeed, Northern European firms are dependent on it from Eastern Europe. Without it, don't expect to have the recovery continue. Schengen is the best thing to happen to European industry since the wirtschaftswunder.

(All these posts are sarcasm, in case you haven't noticed. Buying 20k tanks or 10k fighter jets is a ridiculous idea).
