But everyone will realise that it is not the Lithuanians who attacked Belarus. It is like when Soviet invaded Finland, no one believed that FInnish artillery randomly started to lob shells across the border.

How would they realize that? What are they, omniscient? And the Fins did actually shell Mainila. LEARN YOUR HISTORY BRO.

There is no sane non-russian historian who would ever say that Finnish artillery fired on Mainila, all evidence points against it. The Finnish have even stated that not even their closest guns could even shoot across the border to Russia.

It would be pure madness if Finland would even do that, and it is simply ridiculous to believe such.

1) What did I say about not posting images until this evening when its time for everyone to put off some steam?

2) Putin isn't dumb enough to take on the entirety of Europe and NATO. Not that Russia isn't capable of a war with the West, but it is realistically not feasible for anyone to potentially start WWIII.

Well, Putin is bad ass , I have to give you that. But I do think that the European Union would voice their discontent for Russia, and the US would definitely see their chance in this and set military up in Lithuania. This seems like a golden opportunity to strike at the last communist place in Europe. Russia would sadly not (probably, I am not Putin - surprise - so I would not know), intervene.

Not relevant and I think that there is a major difference between the two. Italy may have sided with Germany, but it was not the country that killed so many during the Holocaust and start WWII.

Also, something should be done about time, as it is now, it is all wobbly and stuff. Russia was on the 23rd of May a couple of posts ago, then Iran was on the 17th, and then Russia is down on 17th too.

Multiple meetings are happening at once. I'm in Moscow on the 17th with David Cameron but in Minsk on the 21st with the pres of Belarus and the 23rd I'm writing letters. Its not a strict progression of time so long as you date stuff.

Hmm... That sounds like a good idea actually, being able to have various timelines. Though it would prove hard, if say one summit says something dramatically, like: let's nuke Russia next day, and then a week later in Russia, no one cares/notices/gets blown to pieces.

Russia will never allow Belarus or the Ukraine to join the EU, it's too close to Russia's own sphere of influence.
