You realize that you don't have to be an EU member to take full economic advantage, right? The EU is political integration now. Look at Norway, full access to the EEC without membership. They know what's up.

Norway doesn't get to be part of the decision-making process but nonetheless has to follow EU mandates on the EEC.
I think you're rather uninformed on this.

1) We share a common geographic area. That can definitely be a culture. There is European culture, Asian culture, African, culture, etc.
2) Interesting =/= economically powerful. Yes, I get it you have a lot of money, but that's not relevant to interesting.
3i) I'm in the middle of exam week, i'm not digging up sources in my spare time. Take my word for it or don't believe me, I could really care less.
3ii) What are you unclear on, whether EU citizens can get full benefits in their country of residence or that it is a burden to Sweden?

Seriously, you need to calm down. Just stretch your imagination for a bit and you may have some fun. Why don't you try and get Turkey to join or something?[/quote]
1) Maybe in 200 years. Not now.
2) You're not going to replace the EU, that's my whole point.
3i) Then I'm going to go ahead and assume it's bullshit.
ii) EU citizens are, for the vast majority, not an economic burden when they move to another Member State.

I'm not going to try and get Turkey to join because my motion to make the EU presidential positions elected has already been defeated, so essentially I'm already up against an obstructionist, Eurosceptic parliament, meaning I can't do shit.

Image it, the US brags how it ended the Somalian warlord and killed a terrorist in one drone strike. Then said terrorist reappears.

Well, Sweden is not getting the best of vibes from the European leadership, so... Also, european immigration to Sweden has in no way benefited the country more than the opposite.

I DON'T WANT TO REPLACE THE EU. Christ, I just want to make a league of Northern countries.

As for EU citizens, it's not that they are a burden and don't work, it's that they don't stay. Say a Romanian couple want to have a kid. Awesome. But Romanian paternity/maternity leave is not that good (if they have any at all). Ok, they move to Sweden, work for a 6 months then pop a kid. The jobs they have now must give them each one year off with 80% pay. After that is over, many of them move back home or even onto another advanced EU country for their kids education. Sweden just expended a massive amount of money to accommodate people who have only paid into the system for 6 months. No wonder the Swedes are pissed. I have been to Sweden, they are extremely upset about this from the people I talked to. They have good cause to be.

Perhaps you should just stick with China, playing as an IO seems to have too many issues, especially when each member-state has it's own interests because in RP everyone wants to be an important player, they will not be subservient to the EU like RL.

Anyways, I wonder how I'll follow up to it. Maybe have Thrasher have his second-in-command take care of the WLF, and stay in hiding, until the time is right.

Well, Sweden does not want it to end up working like that one day either, so it is doing the best it can to stop it.

Also, regarding the UN, as the OP has stated, only vote on the subject currently being discussed, nothing more.

I recognize that Russia is already taken, but apparently the lowlands told me he never posts. Granted finals are coming up, but that's besides the point.
