It would be an interesting 2)alternative to the EU, which let's be honest, 3)kind of sucks for the current Nordic members. Canada would be willing to commit significant resources to this endeavour.

If this is desirable, i'll start taking IC actions.

1) No such thing.
2) It won't be.
3) No, it doesn't.

EU damage control?

1) Yes there is, we border the Arctic and we know what its like to be cold all the time. We'll make a strong culture out of this.
2) We will see, isn't it awesome that this is a future RP and not strictly based on what would really happen?
3) It very much does my friend. Denmark is considering leaving because they aren't getting their prosperity they were promised and Sweden is having its social security system looted by EU citizens taking advantage of generous benefits such as 80% 1 year mat/pat leave which they are powerless to stop without leaving the EU.

Ah, good. Those muffins sound delicious though. Glad Sweden voted no, on the UN resolution. DPRK relation +1.
Also, I thought China would vote no, or even veto the whole deal.

You realize that you don't have to be an EU member to take full economic advantage, right? The EU is political integration now. Look at Norway, full access to the EEC without membership. They know what's up.

Due to the current state of affairs, we are just going to go ahead and pass the NK resolution. I don't belive Russia would VETO it, and even if he voted against or abstained would not do much as there would still be supporters. So, the next topic is highlighted in Bold.

1) We share a common geographic area. That can definitely be a culture. There is European culture, Asian culture, African, culture, etc.
2) Interesting =/= economically powerful. Yes, I get it you have a lot of money, but that's not relevant to interesting.
3i) I'm in the middle of exam week, i'm not digging up sources in my spare time. Take my word for it or don't believe me, I could really care less.
3ii) What are you unclear on, whether EU citizens can get full benefits in their country of residence or that it is a burden to Sweden?

Seriously, you need to calm down. Just stretch your imagination for a bit and you may have some fun. Why don't you try and get Turkey to join or something?
