You include election there.

Laws can be changed. They are also not any "large" laws or something like that, which we might have. Those would need to have an election in between changes so that a party can't turn the country upside down. Sort of basic laws. Like the constitution.

I honestly think that an elective monarchy would be more practical.

Why so?

Also we would need some large base of aristocrats and nobles for that. At least that is how it was before.

We barely have a libertarian party. All our parties seem to be going in one direction too.

Which is?

I'm not talking about a nice, sits-down-in-the-senate-with-tea communist party, I'm talking about ska-listening, beer-chugging, red-blooded, salt-of-the-earth borderline revolutionaries.

Oh, those types of communists. I see. Well, soon enough we'll have a police force. And currently there are no real restrictions on the military in the case of firing on civilians. The violence monopoly is not only in the hands of the police.

Nothing to say they don't exist and just don't stand for Senate elections. Maybe there are communists causing havoc on the streets of Corburn right now.

Nice list. And also, there sure might be. Are criminal stuff even illegal yet? I mean, it will be at least six months until we get a police force.

Nope, we are here - Amongst the 4 major parties.
Also, I'm pretty sure I explained how un-reactionary we are for a monarchist party.

Perhaps there's nowhere to emigrate to. All the surrounding countries merged into Corburn.

Or, perhaps - if you've ever played Papers, Please, you'll especially understand this - although Corburn's a hellhole, it's still better than the alternatives and people are immigrating into it.

Agreed, we kinda moved towards that in the Kings Heads-- I really hope Ellison becomes Chief Whip.

I think the most important question for the direction of the SP, is what would see our end-game to be: Is it the aim of our party to eventually engage in radical emancipatory politics, to transform society from the liberal bourgeois capitalist state to a communist one, or to moderate the status quo as liberal progressives?

Because we Monarchists are there, and a Paramilitary tends to scare people away from doing things, especially if that paramilitary is not forbidden from gunning them down mercilessly.

Other senators, you can thank us by voting in favor of the Monarchy 8)

IIRC we are only the Hammerhead peninsula, or even only parts of it. There is way more.

Additionally, one should take into account that most of the current legal 'clusterfuck' (that's a technical term) has left the practical institutions intact AFAIK; we still have cops and soldiers, they're just technically not part of the State.

I think the Monarchist Party and the Socialist Party might be quite alike, except for the monarchy part though. Senator Salisbury is heavily influenced by socialism, and used to be a member of the socialist party. His great idols are also primarily socialists.

Currently though, there's no legal distinction between a cop and a vigilante, a solider and an insurrectionist.
