Still, it may not be in ruins. But it was not the best from the start either. The Nordic has so far not bombed industrial areas, but they have focues on airfields, and then moved onto other defense positions once those had been dealt with. Which means that not many british planes can take off from the destroyed airfields, which are priority number 1.

In the way to call a young man "boy", as to make him below you, for he is simply a boy or such. Boy is also a Medieval term for servant.

Of course I'll wait, this is a war, not some sort of kindergarten play. Also, if the planes go on the motorways, where should the normal traffic go? I presume that both military and civilian traffic will have to be stopped there to make room for an airfield. Can't have cars running around beneath your aircrafts.

Also, you need to get them there in some way, since I presume they are at the airfields, also I think Britain might have some aircraft carriers, but they should not be quite as large and perhaps elsewhere in the world.

It's only been a few days, so while most airfields may be damaged or destroyed, some will still be operational, especially since the British are putting up a fight in the air.
And since it's only been a few days and the Nordic haven't touched the cities, his industrial base is probably fine. If that's what you're upset about, I'll just point out that Scandinavia's industrial base is hardly going to be better.

Even I'm confused about it, and I'm British.

It depends on the context, like if I called an American soldier a "doughboy" it may be seen as offensive depending on how I say it.

There is no such thing as "most highly trained". How does one place a quantifier on the level of skill and proficiency a man displays? Every soldier would be different. I accept that a Spetsnaz would be better trained than the usual infantryman. Yet, one cannot train an entire military force to be the same level of skill. There will always be some buggers who dig a half-foot lesser than everyone else. It also depends on what training you are talking about. Is it jungle warfare? The armies of South East Asia would outdo your British boys any time. Desert warfare? Middle Easterners. "Most highly trained" makes no sense because skill has no value and is very, very subjective.

The best technology is not the most advanced. What if I told you that an electronic device was available to break windows with a one-shot, non-rechargeable magnetic pulse. You have the choice of choosing between that and a rock. I do accept that the United States has an extremely advanced military, one of the best in the world. One of the best. But not the best. There can never be a winner in the "best and most advanced" category for such things as technological prowess cannot be counted as well. What is the best technology? Is it better at killing, faster, stronger, more armoured... There are too many factors to count for what the "best" is in such an abstract field as "technology".

The last point is the most hilarious, yet sad. This is what the West believes China's tactics are like, ever since the Korean War. It is a stereotype! Since the Soviets did their extreme sacrifices in World War Two, the concept of Communist armies being poorly-trained meat grinders has held fast in the West, true or not. In the Korean War, the Chinese troops used squad-level infiltration techniques, where a small group of soldiers would get through UN lines, then a massive group would rush through the hole to attack the rear. For some reason, the Communist Chinese tactics became known as "human wave" attacks and the view that the People's Liberation Army is another Red Meat Grinder became widespread, to this day. The most common argument is that this is the reason why their army is so large. Perhaps their army is so large because they have a large population and national service? If China is truly the nation of "most human wave attacks", then tell me why they even bother developing new fighters, modern tanks, guns and are almost on par with the US in terms of technology. This is a false stereotype born from Cold War fears. The USA needed their people to see the Reds as weaker than them. They were correct then, but they are wrong now. China no longer, and in fact has never, used human wave attacks. Just look at this.

With that, I end. Thank you.
:)

I'm referring to China's huge population...

I'm a Communist myself, you know.

I'd just like to extend my heartiest thanks to those of you who complied with my request. And, indeed, it was but a mere request, not an order nor a demand.

I hope no one minds? I am attempting to keep this OOC from degrading too much into, ah, nation bashing and "dick measuring", as it were.

Sincerely, thank you again.

If this is about privatising JAXA, I'm afraid I have to turn you down. JAXA will always be a governmental institution, and the Japanese government is no way near as cash-strapped as having to tax their own space program, which is not aiming much farther than the moon and unmanned probes to mars. I suggest you look for partners in other nations, such as Russia or China. These have shown interest in space, some of which have particularly... unrealistic goals.

Privatising JAXA? Why, perish the thought. I'd not dream of it.

Japan, this iteration of Japan, is something of an economic colossus. I'd be loathe and derelict in my duties if I didn't endeavor to pursue a great many business ventures with the newly empowered Japanese.
