How is your population? If you want to keep to real world statistics, you should be suffering from under-population from the oldest, largest generation of society dying off and not being replaced. You should be trying to solve that.
Just some food for thought.
Screw real-world statistics and nonsense such as "realism". Let us all have spider tanks!
Anyway, my population is fine, largely because, immediately after Abe's term and the next PM came in, major population reforms were done. People were encouraged to have more children with a lot of state hand-holding, subsidised everything, free full-time child cares and basically free education for all children. The "herbivorous men" issue was partially solved by having government-sponsored dating websites and societies, as well as sexual training camps. At first, these were of course awkward and shunned by society, but over time became a novelty and then became popular, much like other weird trends in today's world. The overly-selective women thing could not be solved just immediately, though efforts were made by private organisations and help groups to train men to live up the women's standards as well as make women less selective. The government only funded these groups, since even the government could not change people's mindsets and they were very unpopular at the time due to the PM's near-war with Korea. Larger families were also encouraged, with each successful birth coming with free government dollars or prizes, like cars ("Population Growth Encouragement", unofficially known as "Hump for Cash"). With the economy going as well as it was, a few thousand dollars did not matter much.
The goal here was to solve everything caused by the baby boomers, who were now dying left and right. The population thus suffered a major drop in the 2020s as everyone who had sang kimigayo under the rising sun flag began to drop off. The under-population problem was not in 2050 ("now") but rather in the 2030s, where literally half of the nation died. Luckily, though, all of that investment in the 2010s to 2030s by the government allowed the population to increase slowly through the late 2030s and 2050s, eventually settling at around roughly the same as 2010s Japan by 2050. The problem now is the opposite of what Japan was facing earlier, with a major percentage of the population as small children or teens. The problem is regional as well. Rich areas like Tokyo experience under-population due to the people there not wanting to lose their jobs to start a family, while poorer regions like Hokkaido and Kansai end up with massive populations as the poorer people shit out kids to get the government money.
A few points I'd like to make -
- I am the only person who claimed to use "spider tanks"
-in an urban environment they have much greater maneuverability compared to traditional tanks , this argument is dead and buried on several accounts , as I'm not using conventional cannons recoil isn't such a huge issue .
Are we talking about the same design here ?
