Kushiro's body ached all over, the pain from Myra's attack not even registering, as he had gone numb a long time ago. His actions were purely instinctual, transforming without any though at all. Raising his knee into the air, a long spike of blood pierced the sole of his boots and kicked backwards.

I would prefer not having Myra and Kushiro be knocked out, perhaps you can do what Rika did near the beginning with the person that challenged her? Put the both in a solid block of ice.
