Perhaps have him observing Myra, later communicating with her in her dreams.
Not too sure yet though.

If it's just going to be a subtle intro like that, then you can do it as soon as you want.

I mean, we can have the whole stereotyped scene where Myra would feel like she's being watched by someone, and then once she actually looks out the window, he would just disappear before she saw him.
