If your familiar with the Mafia style game Werewolf you have an idea of what this RP is based on, the only thing is that we wont be playing that game. Only simulating the situation portrayed in it.
Welcome to Lodenhan, a village secluded in Deckling Groves, a shadowy land of dark oaks, and legend. A plague hit much of the neighboring lands causing an immigration of foreigners who have made the village their home.Recently a threat has been spotted in their midst. One night a hunter was reportedly ambushed by a monstrous beast,he survived, but not for long, passing the following night. A party was sent to vanquish the beast, and upon doing so discovering with much horror that upon death this wolf like abomination slowly reverted back to a local tradesman. It was obvious, their were werewolves in their midst. Legends from the old days returned to the minds of the people; "A pack must kill each night, lest they be trapped as beasts till death consumes them." Three more deaths have since occurred, and the Mayor has called an emergency meeting of the people, to discuss a course of action. The plague is still out there, to leave the village is not an option, unless death be your wish.
This RP would be built around suspicion, and death. If you join, you'll have to be realistic in making your choices based on the knowledge your characters would know, and the relationships they have. I will however say that some, may very well know more the others.
Speaking of which, their are several classes available.
Acolyte (up to three, works with priest)
Hunter (can be up to 3, Secret position) (1 openings remaining)
Priest (can only be one) (Taken)
Seer (can only be one, secret position) (Taken)
Seer's apprentice (can be up to five, works with the Seer)
Spellcaster (can be up to five, secret position) (3 openings remaining)
Villager (Unlimited Number)
Werewolf (Five at most, Secret position) (4 openings remaining)
Here is what each class is;
Acolyte's help the priest at his tasks, if something happens to the priest, one of them will take his place)
Hunter's are members of a secret society that hunts werewolves, and witches (Seers, and Spellcasters). As a hunter, you'll be investigating in search for your mark. While doing so, you'll be trying to keep your identity as hunter hidden, lest you become hunted by those you hunt.
The Priest holds holy rites, is a community leader. Can put a blessing on only one individual a day to protect them from the werewolves attack (Enemy of the Spellcasters)
The Seer receives visions from the beyond and interprets them. If given the chance to read the palm of a werewolf they will recognize them as such. May receive vision of those who are about to die.
Seer's apprentice knows who the seer is, and is learning the trade. If the seer dies, one of the Seer's apprentices will take the Seer's place.
Spell casters are practitioners of ancient arts, perhaps seeing them as good or ill, a spell caster has the ability to Curse a character (making them a more likely target of the werewolves for a single night), or to Silence a character (effect lasts a day, character is unable to speak and feels downtroddened)
Villagers are the common folk, though they can be formidable as a group.
Werewolves are part of a pack that may have come with the influx of new comers, they must kill another character (PC, or NPC) each night, or remain beasts forever (enemy of hunters, and villagers)
