Not Thornians necessarily, but I suppose it would be preferred.

Appearance: Bipedal, humanoid rats. (5ft). Their priests develop horns. http://www.heretic-religion.com/blog/wp ... kaven7.jpg
Special abilities:
Mask smell: Scearan have no scent, and even the least trained in stealth are difficult to detect when they don't want to be seen.
Relations with other races:
Hated by most races. The Humans see them as vermin, and the Scearen have mutual feelings. The elves hate them with a passion, having gone to war with them. Dwarves feel somewhat sorry for them, being underground creatures themselves, however Scearan detest this pity. They get along sometimes with Goblins, both being fairly short, underestimated races. Gnomes however see them as threats, seeing their ingenuity and subtlety as problematic for their domain. They have no response to Forged, seeing them as little but rouge tools. They do bond with Arechena, seeing that they both have little to trust as races. They fear Kitsune, as Scearen is said to be a Kitsune delicacy, wether or not this is true is unknown as Kitsune society is very closed off. They fear Lycanthropes, for their ability to shapeshift into canines and felines. They arent sure about Felane. They see Djinn as their mortal enemies, for unknown reasons.
Anything else of note: Common Scearan weapons:

Him and his brother had to hone their skills at stealing and stealth to survive, until they were recruited by an assassins guild called the Red Mist, then they had to prefect them. Last of this guild, Sneek has earned the title Deathstalker, but since he discovered his magical abilities, he has learnt even more at the college.

Sentinel XV wrote:Name: Umbraelatro (Shadowthief)
Origins: The Umbraelatro is an ancient school of magic that derives itself from the Dark Magic class of the Puppet Masters. It was formed as a secret technique within the ranks of the Puppet Masters themselves, but evolved as its creators lusted over more and more control. It took hundreds of years to flourish into the form of magic that is know today, but it is still almost universally unknown due to the secrecy or its original practitioners and the extremely unorthodox approach that it takes towards magic and magical ethics.
Class: Dark Mage
Abilities: Allows for the seizure of one's shadow. This can be done in one of two ways. The first method is very quick but grants only basic control over the victim: it is done with a short incantation and hand gesture and allows the caster to force the victim to absorb its own "enchanted" shadow, giving the caster rudimentary control over the victim's motor functions -- the victim remains fully conscious and prolonged use of this form of Umbraelatro can result in the insanity of the victim if he is of lesser constitution. The second method requires much more preparation but results in very fine-tuned and powerful control over the victim. After procuring a lock of the victim's hair, the Umbraelatro encircles it in a pentagram of the caster's blood and begins a series of intense and complicated incantations, sometimes taking hours to complete depending on the willpower of the victim. Once the incantations are complete, the Umbraelatro is rewarded with complete control over his victim's body and mind, access to his thoughts, his deepest desires, his fondest memories. He can control every motion of the victim. However, the victim is completely unaware that he is being possessed. Many speak of that "voice at the back of your head", but it is almost impossible to realize that you have been possessed by Umbraelatro until it is far too late to turn back.
Drawback: Casting the rudimentary form of Umbraelatro yields the caster immobile during its "channel time" as well as during control of the victim's body. Complete concentration is needed during the casting of both Umbraelatro forms and thus can easily be interrupted. Prolonged use of the higher tiers of Umbraelatro can slow madden the caster.
Name: Sheogath Vurak
Age: 32
Race: Arechena
Appearance: Image
Class: Dark Mage
Magic Focus: Umbraelatro
Faction you will be in once you graduate: Inerans
Bio: TBD
Personality: Cold, calculating, and calm, Sheogath is the epitome of an Ineran. He despises those who do not work towards self-gain and considers working towards the good of the whole as ill-advised altruism.
Faults: His cold nature and selfishness leads him to alienation, and his use of Umbraelatro will eventually drive him mad.
