Well, I feel there is a difference between questioning and respecting. As a firm believer in Evolution, I welcome people to question my beliefs, I actually invite them to. Questioning beliefs is a vital part of improving them and building upon them. Before the Reformation in the Church, questioning why people were able to buy their way out of "sin" with indulgences was heretical, but people did question it, and ultimately it improved Christianity. Questioning if the Earth was truly the center of the universe was heathenish, but people did question it, and it improved the world. Questions are never a bad thing, the people trying to stop them are.
