I forgot I have the 10,000 soldier starting force from the rebellion. I can probably spare the 6,000 then, since the original rebel force has become proper military.

Can I have all allies of England (That'd be Norway, Brittany, Greece, Burgundy and Portugal at the moment) please send me a PM with the amount of soldiers you can donate to the Scottish-English war? Keep in mind that some of you won't need to fight in England, seeing as the Scots have France and Spain on their side. Also, any who do wish to all of a sudden fight with England, we can set up some fort of agreement that benefits you greatly.

Once I launch my assault on (classified town) and begin my conflict, you can request help from allies but even then it will take time for allied troops to turn up.

Many questions, I see, most of them regard the question why I "hate" Norway and England .

About England: it's quite plain and simple. The Dutch have a healthy respect for the English, but they are my fiercest trade rivals and rivals for naval superiority historically. This combined with their expansion into Ireland short ago and their subsequent excommunication, has lead the Dutch to distrust the English. I'm awfully sorry, but the 16th century was not a time of peace and European-wide cooperation: it was a time of rapidly changing alliances, intrigues, backstabbing, short-lived wars and a lot of jealousy. The latter is the most important reason for the Dutch to dislike the English. Next to that, my OP mentions me allying with France (I'll try to conclude this ICly quickly) and France and English plainly hated each others guts in the 16th century.

Regarding Norway: they were too friendly with the English throughout this RP for the Dutch liking and they were quite keen to depart from the Catholic church during the English excommunication. This has lead the Dutch to believe that they are, in fact, heathens wishing to bring the Roman Catholic church down. Also, the Netherlands is trying to colonize Spitsbergen for whaling purposes, which is likely to be ill-received by the Norwegians . BTW, Norway, I don't quite understand why you're still using longboats and vikings. They are 10th - 11th century tech.

Oh, and I'm not selling my cannons at this point. Perhaps to very good allies, but they provide me a naval advantage I'm not willing to give up. I'll respond in IC asap, am rather busy at the moment.

Oh, the Pirates I hired to attack colonies and ships in the West Indies probably arrived by now (I'll, of course, make an IC post). Anyone interested in a naval battle there between your merchants and the pirate fleet, or a raid on a colony? England, perhaps? It could be fun .
