If this is the case can we retcon the Smallpox to be what was historically said at a morality rate of 50% for the Aztecs?

Okay, now that I've conquered the Manchu/Mongols I am officially "China"!

I'm unified! YAY!

Now to start my exploration of Africa (not much) and Indonesia (mainly).

Not quite sure. I think the nations would merge, and Athens would remain the capital since Byzantium owns the title of "empire", which is above "kingdom"

Fortunately, I don't think it will come to that.

That's if only sons are born, inverted if only daughters are born. I'm sure they'll try to go for two children given the circumstances.

Indonesians have ironworking and kingdoms at this point, I don't think they'll allow themselves to be colonized so easily.

Indonesians near Asia-proper have kingdoms. Not Papua New Guinea or anything like that.

Besides, what's perhaps 100,000 natives (professional troops and civilians) with bows and large canoes against 200,000 professional Chinese troops with repeating steel crossbows, hand cannons, rockets, and giant warships three times the size of Columbus' Santa Maria.


Really, I could, if given about ten years, conquer most of the Indonesian kingdoms. Plus do a lot of other cool things on the side.

Also, what year and season is it?

What are the chances in this era of soldiers using grappling hooks to scale walls? They were already in widespread use for boarding ships, and I think the Japanese also used them for scaling walls. Any accounts of Europeans doing it?
