Remember, though, muskets are shit in these era. Crossbows are much better, and I have those for sale.

Hell, everything is better. They're inaccurate, lack the effective range of other weapons, and take AGES to reload. My Bows are by far not the best, but even they're more useful. XD

Just found out that Aztec males were about 5'6, pretty tall for the times, also stocky,and that the Spanish described them as being taller rather than shorter.

So Netherlands, regarding your last post. First off, may I note that the King did not yell, he spoke in a calm but angry tone. That should change the situation quite a bit. And nothing that Athelbjorg said should have angered him, considering nothing there could even be taken as offensive/angering. Secondly, the Irish came at a most inopportune moment, I didn't invite them. I really think you should take that into consideration. I'm not gonna post anything until we get this straight, because it seems kind of strange to break off an alliance over a calmly said sentence that doesn't offend.

Sorry for the late reply, I was off last night . I'm perfectly willing to alter the post. I do think you underestimate how easily leaders were offended in the time slot we're playing in. They usually thought of themselves as extremely important, and they were used to being treated like half-Gods. For a leader of an important ally to be received in a bedroom, and not by the King, would have surely been considered massively insulting in the time and it could have serious implications for an alliance. If you'd like me to edit it out, though, I will!

Are you planning on having an Aztec expedition to Europe? If you learn to mine and build ships from the Moors, and to work iron and steel from the English, whats to stop you from crossing the waves and making your own colonies?

Are you planning on having an Aztec expedition to Europe? If you learn to mine and build ships from the Moors, and to work iron and steel from the English, whats to stop you from crossing the waves and making your own colonies?

No, I plan on using them to make traveling the Americas easier and to help expand my Trade Lanes much farther. As I've stated many times, I plan on conquering Mesoamerica and MAYBE the rest of Central America, and concentrating on being a Trade Empire. Also, I've been ravaged by plagues,my pop size has dropped to something akin to England. I do not have the manpower to do such a thing, nor does it appeal to me personally.
Also that would put me in contention with Christianity in Europe, which would not be a good thing as it will:
1) Open my people to conversion attempts.
2) Step on the toes of the Pope.
3) Cause hostilities to form between faiths as Christians will feel threatened by Pagans in their borders.
I'd rather avoid that unpleasant business.

I am however planning on sending Nezahualpilli's son, well one of them, across a tour of Europe after the Campaign against the Tarascan Empire ends.

Uhm, no. Once I have the knowledge of Iron and Steel working into weapons, proper ship building,and proper mining, I will be up to date... The Aztecs were like Classical Rome in terms of advancement, they had Aqueducts and running water, large trade networks, mathematics, etc. And Mexico is the location of 1/4th of the world's Silver. it will take me a while, but it won't take that long... It only took Japan a couple of decades to jump from a feudal society of swords and castles, to a industrial society of guns and trains...
I'd imagine it taking many Decades, but not over a Hundred years, that would be absurd, the Aztecs are already very advanced.

I'm not discovering them, I'm on the way to being taught them by the Moors, English, etc. hence why I thought it taking hundred or so years was absurd.
