The effects didn't last long, and the person shook their head clear before sitting down and the other fish from the fire pit and began to eat it to themselves with their head down and huddled.

The person stopped eating and looked up. Their face steeled with stoicism. They spoke, finally, and the result was a soft young girl's voice, ripe with cold and void of emotion.
