I'm fine with a massive battle but I won't allow it, if a population gets decimated to just expand Damien's character. Even then, the casualty would not be that high if it's just Syndicate trying to kill Damien, this is too massive of an event to not go unnoticed and I would prefer nothing like this happened between Book II and Book III.

Is this one of those. "Hey, now that epic war/battle that is pretty damn important to the character. Yeah, it happened off screen" things?

I think enough is going to happen, what with the Civil War coming along it's way.

But its not GOING to happen, it was something that already happened and was really terrible whatever it was. And it reintroduced Salvation back into Damien's life.

The world can't be in a constant state of world war; Peace, Economic rise, economic fall, war, then peace again. That is the cycle of global existence.

It's not required, Damien is Damien. He could be captured, and easily be reintroduced. I'ts not like he was absent for an entire season of a show.
