I find it simpler if we just went by linguistic distinction, not this "race" nonsense. The definition of the term is so vague that just about anyone can create an artificial race by sheer power of his mind.

Dravidians aren't Caucasian, they're Negroid. Low caste are generally dark skinned, while the higher caste are light skinned. Just compare a Dravidian and North Indian. Not just skin, but body as well.
