Also have the traitors deployed any Heavy Armor ? Don't really want to have a run in with a couple Leman Russ's


I know quite a bit about the Imperial Guard , they service their own fleets of Valkyries ,Vendettas and some Vulture gunships which are not under control of the Imperial Navy . I was asking a general question about air-support being avaliable

Lack of aircraft. No Imperial Guard regiments on garrison have any. Any surviving Navy forces and PDF will be our only chance of air support.

Speaking of the navy, I have a very, very special event planned for them in my next post.

Also, the PDF is very powerful. They have their own aircraft and armor, so yes, they have heavy armor. It just depends if I will be sending any your way or not.

And I am very well aware of what constitutes as heavy, light, and medium armor.

Eventually somewhere waaaaaay down the road, maybe, but I'd imagine we'd have to fight off the attack first. One thing at a time and all that.

I'm not willing to sacrifice a platoon , tracks are replaceable and where there is a Baneblades there is going to be a logistics unit to support it .

Take out a track and you prevent it from being to much of a threat

Nonsense! Lay down smoke, storm it with grenadiers, clamber the hull, kill the crew, and roll that thing to your lines. Also, there's a technical term for a baneblade without tracks: a fortress.

Of course, Leg now knows I plan to loot any baneblade that comes our way, so he won't be sending those.

You seem to be neglecting the fact that it will likely had other armor and infantry support .

Baneblades do have thermal optics ...

They also have guns, which still work even after you take out the treads. The smoke's not for the baneblade anyway. Better to put that AT to neutralizing support rather than immobilizing a fortress that should stay still anyway.

While I specialize in urban warfare all of my AT is very short-ranged meaning I'm going to have to be at very close range in order to disable/destroy it .

I'd think It best to immobilize it to pin it down for an arty strike . Use White Phosporus to burn the crew alive so you can take the vehicle intact

Actually it doesn't burn hot enough to detonate ammunition and fry the engines so there is actually fairly little concern there

White Phosporus is fairly easy to make . I'm sure the Imperial equivalent is avaliable is have to research it though

It would stand to reason that somewhere someone has it , id be willing to help you "secure " A PDF Armory with White Phosporus munitions

I'm rather concerned with the possibility of Ambush's along my path of travel . I would like to avoid losing Chimeras and men before I even reach the Main Base
