Is your RP currently in a position to receive new companies? It appears you are all ready to retreat from your position, so would it be better to hold off for a more suitable moment?

If you don't plan in dissappearing in a couple of weeks leaving us stranded about what to do with your guys, then it's fine.

We have room for another since one seems to have disappeared, with perhaps a couple more MIA. We just need to find an entrance for you.

He could be on the same (just about to be shot down) transport as Cymrea. I'd make sense for an imperial transport to be carrying more than a single company. (Even the smallest carry a couple of regiments with associated gear) Gives him someone to communicate with while we get off this mountain on onto the plotline... er road.

Hmmm, fitting the Xie into the east gate seems awkward, since the various folks are reacting to the Vakarians showing up. Should i just have them inside the Fort's gate already? Or whaddaya guys think? After all, the Xie should have arrived before the Vakarians; I just wanted to make sure the chronology flows nicely and will edit my post when there's some kind of consensus, since it affects a number of folks.

I really threw you all a curve ball with my last post, eh?

Anyway, maybe we should have a NPC company or regiment on the transport which gets slaughtered, since having a transport for merely two companies seems a little off?

You did. I'm stuck with what to say/do with it.

I guess some company doesn't make it to the transport. Perhaps even two. And then we have two more newcomers making it. It is something we can play with.

In theory you could have multiple dropships depart the transport, only to get shot down by the chaos warships. Some could even go total off course and crash unseen on the planet, given an excuse for later late arrivals.

Going through the south main entrance would make even less sense, since the Xie company is approaching from the northeast.

I suppose I could assume that they've already bypassed the gate and its handshaking procedures to link up with the air element on the tarmac? If the Xie are going to link up with the defenders on the west side, they'd be passing through that area, anyway.

Maybe the company don't know there is a east entrance? Stranger things have happened.

Of course you could always use fluid time.

I enjoy the use of fluid time, as I often use it in my posts. I find it simpler when things are able to intertwine appropriately while other actions occur. Naturally, you don't want to jump too far ahead, but keeping things within the realm of just a couple minutes is decent.

Yeah, have to be careful jumping ahead. I used fluid time to catch up with the RP. (So I could post to start developing characters).

well, that and the battle at west gates seems to have bogged down a bit, it'll last a few minutes yet.
Curious and industrious, PMT sharks in an FT setting.
factbook is WiP. but a basic overview of our species is below:
population (remaining, estimated) 6000
State religion: not enforced but every member of the species follows the Cult of Pas Mathéma in some fashion.
Goverment type: Council of 5 heading a technocratic fuedalist society
Govermental sovereignty: protectorate of the 44th independant legion; large independant but ceding to them for interstellar politics and trade
Military power: on an FT schale next to nothing, since our total number of starships is for now 0.

Carch, friendly anthro blue shark. got any kalamari?
... Am I the only sane scientist out here? Even if I'm Cult Mechanicus, I still count as sane given the rest of you...

Hello! This is my application:

Company name: 5th Pruinian Mechanised
Home world: Pruina
Type of Company: Mecahnised
Commanding Officer: Captain Alexander Nylund
Number of Guardsmen: 188 Guardsmen, 26 Heavy Weapons Specialists, 2 Enginseers
Support (Weapons, vehicles, etc): 24 Chimeras, 13 Heavy Weapons Squads (9 Heavy Bolters, 4 Lascannons)
Uniforms:
Image

This, except with a bluey tint.

Miscellaneous info: Especially well trained in arctic warfare, this means that the company can operate in very harsh conditions.

-Company Commander info-

Name: Alexander Nylund
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Rank: Captain
Background: Grew up in the capital of Pruina, New Avalonia, and Alex joined the planet's Imperial Guard Regiment when it was commissioned. He went with the regiment to it's first posting on the Eastern Fringe, where they battled frequent Ork raids. An especially brutal raid on the planet left the regiment cut down to almost a single company. It was relieved, and was then posted to Pan Arcadia for guard duty.
Physical description: 6 feet tall, with blonde hair and light blue eyes, Alexander is a good commander, able to command respect within his troops, earned through years of commanding them against Ork attacks. He carries a chainsword, and a lasgun. He has a dark blue cape, with his old regiment's insignia on it - a snowflake behind crossed swords - but no helmet.

Not much to say on that. It, um, is. Well, actually, you do have a lot of engineers for the size of your company, even with your vehicles. Most of the rest of us who put engineseers in our orbit are running closer to 1 per 7-10 vehicles. (Except the Mechancus-raised Urdeshi) Doesn't mean you necessarily have to change it, just something to note. (unless legital says change it, then you have to)

Otherwise, yeah, sounds cool, nice to see another Mechanized.
