Because of his long term dealings with French and German smugglers Mongke Oyugun can speak pretty fluent French and German. Since your character can speak German they would share a common language, thus his declaration of devotion would be perfectly understandable. If heavily accented.

Edit: It's mainly English that gives him a problem. He would tell you "It harsh to ears, and foul in mouth."

Ah, that's good...It would still be kinda awkward though...I mean, a moderately famous smuggler just out and declares allegiance...we could rp it here to pass the time...

It would most likely be pretty akward for the Europeans who don't understand the mongoloid concept of honor. And it's not like he wanted to stay and die for your character, but in his mind his life was forfet after he was captured and your Charecter prevented his execution. That means he owns his life to her until she A. Releases him from her service, or B saves her life.

It would sound something like "Thank you Captain for realeasing me. I owe you my life and my honor demands that I am sworn to your service until such time you deem the debt repaid, or until I , in turn, save your life"

Well...B will probably be pretty easy to do, unless there are other stipulations to that little thing...

I was hoping we could find some reason for him to stay past his oath. Like that his former partners had put a kill order on him to prevent him from returning east.

Hmmmmm....I'd say an unofficial First Mate, as you have a First Mate's responsibilities, but it is unlikely that the crew would make you captain if I died...

Not accepted for several reasons. This is only constructive criticism, so don't take it personally.

1) For the love of God, man, learn to use proper grammar! Holy crap! It's a major pet peeve of mine.

2) You need a full name; first and last. Also, expand on the nickname.

3) Expand the personal history.

4) Those weaknesses are complete crap. They almost make your character overpowered, since he supposedly never backs down and always kills his enemies or something.

5) No GTFO. EVER.

Fix those things, and you'll be good.
