World War I (WWI), also known as the First World War, was a global war centred in Europe that began on 28 July 1914 and lasted until 11 November 1918. From the time of its occurrence until the approach of World War II in 1939, it was called simply the World War or the Great War, and thereafter the First World War or World War I. In America it was initially called the European War. More than 9 million combatants were killed: a scale of death impacted by industrial advancements, geographic stalemate and reliance on human wave attacks. It was the fifth-deadliest conflict in world history, paving the way for major political changes, including revolutions in many of the nations involved.

We All know that what is above is the truth but what if we were able to conceive this truth into our own image, what if the Great War hadn't happened in 1914 and the world remained in peace, Austria-Hungary Continued to progress economically and Germany remained in the diplomatic war with The British Empire, and as for Russia, The Tsardom its stability had risen, The year is 1939 The First World War might occur in the soon years. I am giving you the choice to lead a nation in 1939, a nation that hasn't been in a major conflict for years, and test out whether or not you have the brains and the guts to survive until 1960. humanities fate is in your hands, give us a reason to leave it their.

Besides that, I should note that your tank is a Panzer IV variant that was only developed after Germany's Panzer III's were found insufficient against armor, that your rifle is an American M1 and that the Germans would've undoubtably stuck with their reliable Kar98, and that the destroyer doesn't look like one.

In the first word war, Italy fought for the allies and was disappointed by the lack of reward. Benito Mussolini used the Italian disgruntlement to take power, promising the Italians glory. With no great war, there was no base to stand on, and Mussolini, while always a player in the games in Rome, never took power.

The Monarchy still retains complete control over the nation, the Prime Minister being nothing more than a puppet. The Italian people lay content, but the crown has aspirations. Soon, across the Adriatic and beyond, perhaps the crown's ambitions will come to fruition. In Rome, numerous groups are vying for power wherever they can obtain it. Leftists protest, those damned Blackshirts hold their Rallies, and the King hosts parades all in the same streets. Victor fights hard to stop the crown's fall from power, and at the same time, bring his plans to fruition outside the nation. Italy looks forward to peace and success, but there are, in fact, dark times ahead.

Ideology: Imperialism, Expansionism and Southern Slavic unity, though only if they think they can win, otherwise we're just that guy who sits there doing nothing.
Economy: Mostly small scale agriculture, though with some factories and limited industrialisation in the cities.
Total amount of soldiers in your nation: I would probably guess around fifty thousand active troops, plus several tens of thousands of militias and other territorial forces.

This ship in our timeline is called the Dalmacija, but I shall call it the Zorica.

History: After securing it's independence and expanding it's borders during the Balkan Wars of the 1910's, the Kingdom of Serbia has sat around doing relatively little, only getting involved in the occasional regional dispute with it's neighbours, though this has surprisingly led to little trouble, as the Balkan nations are still rebuilding from the latest set of wars, and nobody can afford to get into another one unless they must.

King Petar, who had led the kingdom against the Ottoman Turks and won died in 1921 and his second son Aleksandar took power and kept up the policies of peaceful relations with the neighbouring states, one example of this is through marrying the Princess Marija of Romania, with whom he has four children, three from our world, Petar, Tomislav and Andrej, and a daughter who I shall call Jelena.

Aleksandar was not assassinated in 1934 by Croats like in our timeline because as king of only Serbia and not Yugoslavia, the Croats have no political motivation to kill him, but probably would go after some Austrian Archduke , because we know that's a good idea... today the Serbian-Austrian relations are somewhat strained, though thanks to little official recognition/encouragement of certain terrorist movements black hand!, there is not the same level of animosity as there was leading up to the actual First World War, the borders are not too heavily defended and the royal family has visited Vienna several times.

I can't think of anything else, so lets just assume no big events happened from 1934 to 1939.
