I've been trying to follow along with this story line and I just can't see what each side is trying to say or do. I understand there is economic friction between them, but what is stopping Kosovo from seeking investment and goods from other nations?

Ah, I see. I couldn't decipher Nuverikstan's reply all too well, but this makes more sense. China seems to have issues towards the South with the new up-start Commonwealth, and the age old-rival to the North in Russia, so that should prove to be interesting. I'll try to wedge myself somewhere, but I honestly don't see a real need to act hostile to you, or really any nation at the moment. However, military plans would most likely revolve around a potential conflict with (primarily) you, Russia, Japan, or the United States, as it seems the most imminent threat of war.

I'll see how it plays out and focus on my own issues, though. You need not worry about me being hostile, so that's a plus.

If Yugoslavia returns I control all Southern European trade from China goes through me and so I control Southern Europe.

Another thing: I cannot control how international trade behaves. As soon of those ships leave Chinese ports they are on their own. If Kosovo doesn't do that then it will not be able to be the trade receiver in the area. China can't control were they go, Montenegro needs to attract the shipping companies and industries. Southern Europe, Western Europe, and Northern Europe have already established their routes and influential foothold in trade, so those are unchangeable.
